Q: You can ask LUMIX to create just ONE new lens… What lens would you ask for??? Drop your wish below…

Does not work reliably on Olympus/OM System. Does not work with AFC. Unusable for video with af.

First leaked image of the new OM-5II

I truly hope—pray, even—that OM System’s next release won’t just be another rehash like the OM-1 Mark II. That camera, while fine on paper, was essentially a software update sold at full price, and it left many of us deeply disillusioned. I’m starting to lose hope in the brand. I’ve been using the E

OM System Now Majority Owned By Former Olympus Camera Division Lead

The big one is that the Continuous AF with Tracking is nowhere near as good as Nikon 3D Tracking, and you can't set it to "any subject detect" like the Nikons. Then other things like you can't re-center the focus point by long-pressing "OK" unless you have moved it recently and it is active. Punch-i

M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO Pricing?

OM systems is positioning itself as 'the outdoor brand' - it's a niche, smart move to pick a niche. In that light they are upgrading a lot of equipment with an actual IP classification - where all other brands just go for the flexible non-commiting phrase 'weather sealed'.So that's the rebranding and

What's wrong with those "for m43 guys"?

I think there is a perception problem with m43 that is unfortunately fueled in part by the m43 maker marketing. I say this as a mft user for the past four years that is now looking for alternatives elsewhere. There are many reasons why users come to or look at m43. My reasons were size, affordabilit

OM-3 grip advice

I have the Leofoto one as well, it matches the camera well which is why I chose it. It did scratch my OM-3 in the same place as everyone else, I put a piece of gaffer tape in the affected area to prevent it from getting worse over time. (It's just a little paint loss, annoying it happened but affect

Why isn't this in every OM/Olympus camera? You don't need a physical dial for it.

My more advanced E-M1ii back then didn’t have it when the older PEN-F did. Here I am with the OM-1 and same problem. The OM-3 is a repackaged OM-1ii…. And as usual removed. The E-P7 is based on the E-M10IV. Olympus and OM Systems hates its users lol.

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?

I love m43 system, but no, it would be foolish to do so these days (with a few exceptions) You can find cheaper and better camera and lenses, new or used. Take a Sony A6100, it smokes everything m43 by a mile except the OM-1 and G9 II in some areas and it's dirt cheap. Autofocus, video, fps, senzor,

PetaPixel and Emily from Micro Four Nerds on how to save Micro Four Thirds - the manufacturers only make large premium cameras and are afraid to make a small one that isn't plastic and chintzy

I suspect that Panasonic are basically out of the M4/3 game. FF is way too tempting for them and the S9 has small camera vibes especially now that small primes are becoming ever more available for it. As for OM Systems. Basically they are coasting along on the bodies they inherited from Olympus. Yes

Be really honest, is it getting harder and harder to stick with m43?

No, it's not hard to stick with m43, but it's definitely hard to continue to upgrade bodies when the cost for new OM System cameras is comparable to or higher than many great FF mirrorless cameras from a host of other companies. For the cost of a used OM-3 I opted for a used Sony A7C with a 120 shut
