Canon M6 Mark II - worth it?
Yeah, don't buy this. This was an issue the E-M5 III from Olympus (and it's OM successors) were famous for. This looks like a particularly severe example, there are cracks going up both sides of the camera. Depending on the construction of the camera the effect of the damage could vary, but this loo

OM-5 mkii Rumored Specs
If these are legit then what are the actual differences? It really seems the management at OM System are just grabbing whatever market they can without any investment or innovation. OM-1 was designed by Olympus before the restructure/takeover. The mark ii was essentially a firmware update. OM-5 is l

Switch from Fuji to OM System
You should buy an EM5III. You can get them for $400-500, which is very good value. I bought my OM5 not long after release for around $950 and I feel like that was only barely worth it. Here we are 3 years later and the OM5II is basically the same camera still and it’s being sold for $1,200. They eve

So I got my OM5ii. What I gonna use as a Flash?
Let’s do a little history lesson…. Truepic VIII cameras - EM1ii and EM5iii. Essentially the same tech shrunk into a smaller lighter package. Inextricably, Olympus removes the USB-C of the early camera for Micro USB. Truepic IX cameras - EM1iii and OM-5. Same deal, same nonsensically Micro USB. Oh an

OM-5 Mark III E-M5 III? --- OM5 III does not exist... yet... ------------------ 12-32's can be found on ebay and places like mpb for like $100-150. I would avoid the "EZ" lens, it's prone to break (internal ribbon cable problems). I like the 14-42 II R personally.

Don’t hold your breath for small cameras. OM and Panasonic have abandoned that segment for years. G100 is a neutered camera. Used EM5III or OM5 is what you want. They are basically the same camera. OM5II is poor value in 2025 - it is the same 6 year old camera getting its third re-release without an

OM-5 II review by Micro Four Nerds
I don’t see why you’d buy this new OM-5ii when you can buy a used EM5iii for around $700. I got lucky and was able to find a barely used EM5iii and the M.Zuiko 12-40 f/2.8 two weeks ago for $959 at my local camera shop...

Beginner: OM-5 I/II, GX9 or Fuji?
Yeah, top dollar for a "new" EM5iii makes no sense. The OM-5ii is an old camera internally. X-E5 or XT30 would be a pretty big upgrade. a6700 is the best of the bunch but if OP wants that retro look, it won't scratch that itch.

Baffled by OM-5 mark II price variations
You’re assuming that it’s possible to get an OM5 for any significant savings. At least here in Canada, back in the summer I paid about $100 more for a brand new OM5 II (with warranty!!) than it would have cost me for a used OM5 - if I could have even found one in Canada. If I imported from the US (M

OM Systems welcomes new Chinese M43 brand: Songdian
Ok, then let's say OM System is relying on the after-market for some accessories. :-) In my opinion, the cost to develop, build, and warehouse low volume accessories could easily exceed any retail profit. Yes, Olympus had a hand grip for the E-M5 Mk III (and OM-5 Mk I) but how many have you seen peo
