Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 review: Despite pointer issues, this is still 3D platforming at its very best | VGC
Nintendo and their weird control restrictions, Been playing Galaxy 2 and the handheld tilting is such a pain on tough levels. Wish they'd just let us use mouse controls for single player too. At least the Joy-Con drift isn't as bad this time around.

[Hobby Scuffles] Week of 13 July 2026
The left thumbstick on my Switch Lite finally gave up the ghost a month ago; it was having a lot of problems deciding "up" really meant "up," which was bad because I really wanted to go forward in Breath of the Wild, and, well... So I had a couple options. I could spend $70 to buy a Joy-Con, but the

Excited for months to play Halo with my kid only to find out...
It is pretty limited to Mario party, they technically do have couch co op in the typical Nintendo fashion forcing you to use joycons 1 player controls the ship while the other uses "mouse mode" to shoot. Super underwhelming game play imo I hate being forced to use the new gimmick. Kinda like how the

guys…where’s mouse mode?
It's a shooting game on the switch 2, where the joy-con comes built in with mouse functionality. Yes, they better actually make mouse mode possible. That's what mice are for in the context of video games. If Nintendo doesn't put mouse functionality in their biggest shooting game, why the hell did I

Is there a homebrew app that lets you remap your controls for every game, if you don't like the original ones?
Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm gonna conscientiously go through those steps for good measure, but I think it's the third party controller (Hori Split Pad Pro) not being compatible as the issue. I do recall KeyX working with the Joy-Con that it came with, after which is when I came across about r

Won't the steam frame controllers work like normal controllers?
I can see ergonomics being a big one. A split type controller that has to be comfortable as a motion controller isn't going to work for every 2D game. This is why for example the Nintendo Switch still has tons of 'normal' controller options for playing on your TV, the ergonomics of the Joy-Cons don'

I’ll never understand the extreme hate-boner that people have for this game. It’s really nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Especially pisses me off whenever someone dunks on this game, but then proceeds to defend games like MP10.

Switch 1/2 purchases
Nintendo has a compatibility check tool here, there’s a few lists out there with a search on Google, not sure how complete they are. Some titles can’t be played without an OG switch Joy Con due to controller differences, those are here. Only one I have with issues is Jurassic World. It’s still “play

I had a feeling…
Presumably for the same (dumb) reasons you can’t use the joy con 2 or sw2 pro controller on anything else. Idk what Nintendo did differently but it sucks :/

【Update】 Switch 2 Joy-Cons and Pro Controller 2 Wireless Connection for Windows 10/11 v0.1.0
I've tested v0.7.2 now with both Pro 2 and Joy Con 2. I didn't test the horizon lock yet, but since you were able to reproduce the problem it sounds like it should be solved. About the battery, in your app my Pro 2 battery at one point miraculously went from 2 bars to full 3 bars right before my eye
