What am I doing wrong?
Hi, I came from a Delonghi Magnifica S Smart Bean to Cup machine to the Ninja Luxe Café Pro so have some experience of the transition. Over the last year I've been developing a Ninja Basics script which might help. It's lengthy, but covers most issue, you might want to just dip into three bits that

Bought my other half a luxe cafe pro, where is the best place to get beans from? I’m clueless when it comes to coffee
Hi Tom, Yes, this is a dip in and out document, just find the sub headings that suit your needs and maybe keep the rest for a night when your struggling to sleep, and it'll send you right of to the land of nod. Yes, please see below. It's quite long, so just dip in and out if the sub-headings that suit your needs. Hope it helps. Does the extraction look good? Is this how its supposed to come out. New to home coffee scene
Yes. It's a script in parts, just dip in and out of the sub-headings that suit your needs. It's not exhaustive, there are nuances that you'll find over time, but it's the basics to get you going. I hope you find it useful. Ninja's basics For your sanity only use Barista Assist (BA) as a guide to get

Ninja 601 never good espresso quality
I don't know the coffee's of which you speak, but is it possible you're water is too hot, a chocolate taste often comes from darker Roast's which requires water temperature set to Lo. Here's my usual Ninja Basics. Hope you find something useful. Ninja's basics For your sanity only use Barista Assist

Inconsistent amount of espresso
It might be in reverse—your gf getting too much of an espresso. See my post https://www.reddit.com/r/NinjaLuxeCafe/comments/1rwnpoz/first_shot_in_a_day_comes_out_too_high_volume/ There is a problem with these machines that you get first shot in a day way out of ratio. In my case on Strength 3 (1:2 ratio) my

How to change shot sizes?
Good, it's all learning, but one thing worth noting. Water temperature is bean roast level specific, not a means of getting a hotter or cooler drink. I'll include my Ninja Basics below, which I hope you find useful. Ninja's basics For your sanity only use Barista Assist (BA) as a guide to get you cl

Oh, don't get me wrong, this is an overly negative sub-reddit, but have a look at r/Espresso it can be as bad with its 'Grind Finer' nonsense. The craziest thing, my highest response on that sub was when someone dumped their entire portafilter of fresh grinds right across their countertop, just misj
