So Long to the Z7 Platform?
I have a theory about this: The Z7 only existed because Nikon needed something that they could vaguely compare to the D850, but neither the Z7 or the Z7II ever hit the highs that the D850 did. The Z8 showed up and took that position over. Quite successfully too, I might add. There's just no niche th

Reluctant start
Z5ii is the best camera under $2k and the z6iii is the best camera at the next price point up. Nikon struggled for a while, but Expeed 7 is the tits and now that they’ve got subject tracking autofocus nailed down, they are the most well-rounded brand.

Switched From Canon To Nikon, I think I made the right choice.
"....looking on upgrading to the Nikon Z6ii or Z5ii next year." The Z6II will not feel like much of an upgrade. When you do get around to upgrading, don't bother with anything other than an EXPEED 7 body - they are an order of magnitude better in the AF department. Currently that means a Z50II, Z5II

Z7ii, Z6iii or Z6ii
Hello. I have sung the praises of the Z6iii a lot so take my opinion with a grain of salt on it. It is arguably one of my favorite cameras I've ever used. I've used a lot. Not everything under the sun for sure, but I have experience with almost every major brand and the Z6iii (especially seen used o

Is Lumix unaware of their pricing issues?

Okay, what is ACTUALLY the best camera (rant/discussion)??
so i took it up as my mission to get him the best possible in 2026 the camera should be the best bang for the buck as i got the money 1k-ish Nikon Z8 (3,799 EUR) or Z6 III (2329 EUR) + Nikon 180-600mm (1999 EUR) + 24-70 f/4 or 24-120 f/4.

Need some expert advice on two combos? Z50II+16-50 /f2.8 DX vs Z5II+24-120/f4
I have the Z50ii with the 16-50 kit lens (not the f/2.8 lens that you are thinking about). I also have the Z6iii with the 24-120. Here is my take: For a lightweight and portable kit you can't beat the Z50ii + 16-50 f/2.8 combo (825g vs 1,250g of the Z5ii + 24-120. As for low light performance, there

Is the Z50 II the right upgrade from a D3400?
I've never handled a Z50 ii. I have a Z6 iii. It was kind of surprising to me that the Z50 ii and the Z5 ii both have most of the features of my more expensive Z6 iii. Nikon didn't cripple it's capabilities, they only left out a few things due to the camera's hardware differences. ~~~ The answer is:

Nikon's new ZR is $500 cheaper than the Z6iii
I was also surprised initially, but I think it makes sense. I think the advanced EVF, mechanical shutter, and other physical aspects of the Z6III could reasonably explain the price difference by themselves. Not to mention that the $2700 price came from factors that Nikon couldn’t have accounted for

What is it with Nikon and Social Media
The problem is other brands early mirrorless didn't suck. But Nikon's did. I'd never understand how they a) reacted way too late (years) and b) launched an inferior product. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that this will stick for years, maybe decades and that many who waited out
