Sony to Nikon?
Hey Mate, I've been a NIkon shooter for a long time and currently use a D4; dual D850s, still have a D750 and just bought a Z6iii. Lemme tell you a story about that So I made a massive mistake with a former partner I was working with and moved from Nikon to Sony with dual A&r4s, 8 lenses and a sony

Nikon's new ZR is $500 cheaper than the Z6iii
I was also surprised initially, but I think it makes sense. I think the advanced EVF, mechanical shutter, and other physical aspects of the Z6III could reasonably explain the price difference by themselves. Not to mention that the $2700 price came from factors that Nikon couldn’t have accounted for

Nikon Autofocus quality? Z5II,6III or 7II
I do a decent amount of event coverage in lowlight settings. The Z6III is a great performer and I’ve been able to get very detailed shots shooting at even 12,800 ISO. Autofocus wise, it performs great. I would say it’s 98% of Sony’s, but with more customization available in the controls/menus. Z5II

Sony Full Frame vs Nikon Z - Please help
Fortunately for you, Nikon has caught up with Sony, so in terms of performance, they are very close if not on par. Nikon glass is still the best in many categories. If you don't like the Zf egro, the Z5ii is basically a zf in a modern body. Z6iii is the current sweet for performance and price. Z8 an

Cant decide between z5ii and z6iii
The Z5ii is a great all-around camera, and I would say it should be the default option for anyone entering the Nikon Z system. If you don't need the best video (anything over 4k30) or 20fps shooting, then save the $600 vs. the Z6iii. The Z5ii is also smaller and (IMO) better built than the Z6iii.

Sony user rents a Z6iii pt3 - final thoughts after sending it back
Two things I’m seeing from the comments: maybe the batteries the rental house provided were older lower capacity ones (they sent a black one and a grey one, both 1900mAh); people thinking I’m a newb here to shit on Nikon - I spent the weekend customising the camera to my liking, even up until the po

Z6iii versus Z6ii
I'm a woman who owns/uses a Z6III and shot with a D5100 for thirteen years before that. In general, any Nikon mirrorless body would be an improvement over what she has, so I'm not surprised she was impressed with the Z6II. That said, I'm going to echo others and suggest the Z6III, especially if she'

Z6III vs Z5ii + 24-120 f4S (Hard choice - Same Price)
At that price difference, you’ll kick yourself for not getting the Z6iii. Ignore the performance and just look at the ergonomics: the Z6iii has a brighter EVF with better refresh rate, and a top LCD display so you can see your settings without the camera raised to your eye. You will never notice the

Nikon Z8 vs Sony A7V
The closest competitor to the Z8 is the Sony A1II from a feature and performance perspective. A camera like the A7V is nowhere near the same level as a Z8 and frankly is overpriced in the current market environment ($800 more than a Z6III) The A7V compares most closely with a Z6III performance-wise,
