This is the part I strongly disagree with. The difference is keeper rate and expectations. With a modern higher end mirrorless like Sony a7v Nikon Z6III or something, even a beginner can get like a 40% keeper rate, and a moderately skilled amateur can get into like 70% rate. But if you're shooting a

It’s a video camera. Sony was basically alone with the FX series and Nikon and Canon juste released their own. The ZR doesn’t have strong features for photography (might explain the price compared to a Z6), but I’m mostly surprised because it’s a lot cheaper than the FX3.

I had to shoot an Indy race for assignment one time and i had a d850 and z7ii. My goodness I hated the z7ii so badly, the D850 became my main body for that entire weekend. When I got a Z9 for a follow up race, my goodness that was a night and day difference... And the zero black out EVF allowed to m

The X-Pro2 is one of my "special" cameras. Most cameras, I could use them and love them, but if you present me the upgraded model, I probably wouldn't have any problems when it comes to switching to the newer model. Like, I used to use an X-T2 + X-H1 for event photography. Change them for an X-T3 +

High-end crop sensor, i.e. north of $2,000 USD, is a hard sell. Even Fujifilm, the most successful crop sensor vendor, couldn't move X-H2 and X-H2S bodies when all of their other cameras were regularly out of stock. I also think Nikon was pretty successful in moving their higher-end DX DSLR customer

I bought the Z8 before the Z6iii was ever announced, and when the Z6iii did make it out never had an afterthought. The only thing to me that would have been noticeably different is the EVF, but that’s not a dealbreaker as I happen to like 46Mpxl and that’s not possible with the newer camera https://

For amateur birding, I've got an OM-D E-M1 Mk II with the 75-300 II (and the 60mm macro for smaller critters handheld macros without a tripod are pure bliss). Before, I was a compulsive buyer: Nikon FF, Z-mount, Canon... tested and sold it all. Since switching to Olympus, no urge to change, lightweig

The difference IMHO is overblown for all but professionals, your skill, luck, good lighting and good lenses will be more important than sensor size. The potential niggle could be astro, but I haven't found any critical issues with noise on my Z50 (same sensor as Z50ii) that makes me want to rush out

I went from canon to Nikon (with the z6) and found it incredibly bad from the autofocus standpoint and way too little sharp. Sold it and bought the a7iii, I really liked the cheap third party lenses and kept on shooting w it for three years. Then I sold once I felt phography wasn’t about passion any

The other think would be the eye detection focus, which for me (I might be doing something wrong) Is not working properly. It tracks the eyes if I shoot portraits, but as soon as I want to do some full body pics it can't find the eye This is a common issue with EXPEED 6 bodies like the Z30 and origi
