The Z8 is MY nostalgic camera - a dumb take on the Z8
Let me bring you the most hipster, outlandish take you have ever seen - the Z8 is a nostalgic feeling camera. How can a cutting edge mirrorless camera be nostalgic, you may wonder, its a ridiculous notion. Let me tell you, its a bit of a story.
Back in 2014 I was very sick, lying in my bed and w

Still in love with my D750 — but considering a Z50 for video. Thoughts?
Hey folks,
So, I'm still absolutely in love with my D750 — it's been my go-to for photography for years and I adore the image quality and handling.
That said, I'm looking to create more content videos, and for that I'm about to grab a Nikon Z50 (on a budget). Just curious… how do you think I’ll fe

Going Z50II after D610/D7100 was a good decision. My opinion on going MILC after DSLRs
Recently I've posted that I got a Z50II, in addition to my D5200/D7100/D610 and few days ago I got FTZ II and I've used my Sigma 150-600 C on Z50II. So here's my short impression/opinion by categories.

Humble request: lens purchase advice
I know this is a M4/3 sub, but if your wife had a Canon that she loved, she might prefer to ease back in with a Canon. I took a long break from photography and got back into it with a Nikon z50 2 lens kit, and it let me get familiar with a new version of a system I was comfortable with. Now I have a

Is this worth it?
That’s the D version; it will not autofocus on the D3300. I’d strongly suggest passing on this deal, especially if you already have a working (but beat up) D3300. If I were in your position I would save up a bit and go for a newer/more capable mirrorless camera; a used Nikon Z50 + the 16-50mm lens c

If anyone fancy shooting jpgs here's my new FCPC
FCPC is Flexible Color Picture Control compatible with Nikon Zf, Z6 III, Z50 II and Z5 II for now. You add ER-VINTAGE-C.NP3 to root of your SD card and then with Manage Picture Control in camera copy it to one slot, select it with Select Picture Control and set WB to Natural Light Auto and results w

Anyone changed back from mirrorless to DSLR? Why did you?
Went from Nikon D40 to D90 to D7000 to D610. Then I bought a Z50 to see for myself. I find the body is too small for my hands and just doesn't sit well. Can't explain. Picked up the 610 again and immediately felt at home. So I will keep the Z50 for travel etc. as it's light and takes a great quality

Nikon z50ii with or without lens kit?
It’s worth doing though because it’s easier to transition from a Nikon DSLR into a Nikon Z than go Fuji or micro 4/3. The control scheme will feel a lot more familiar. As for DX lenses, you have: A small wide-angle zoom (12-28) A tiny mid-range zoom (16-50 f/3.5-6.3) A fast mid-range (16-50 f/2.8) T

Bird photography kit from scratch
Nikon Z50 II + Nikon 180-600mm. The Z50 II has insanely good autofocus and a dedicated bird AF mode. I’ve used it, the R7, and the A6700. All of them are excellent APSCs cameras for birding. I roll with Nikon because I love their ultra light “PF” lenses. I shoot handheld with the 600mm f/6.3 PF and
