I see Nikon Z but there are different models? Which Model? I am trained on SLR and DSLR. Would be for portraiture, family and wedding.

Nice. I have a Z5 II and it's great, it's more camera than I will ever truly need, fantastic value, and I do like the slightly nicer full-frame look, although I am sure I would be very happy with a Z50 II, and I must admit sometimes the size and especially weight of the full-frame system can be a lo

Will price of Nikon Z5ii drop before the end of the year?

Just ordered mine. To be honest, the value proposition of the Z5 II seems too good to be true as it is, even before considering tariffs. No other brand is providing a FF camera this full-fledged at this price currently in my opinion. Even if there is miraculously a sale somehow this year, I won’t re

Need suggestion on 85mm for my Z6 II

I’m looking for an 85mm lens for my Z5 II, which will mostly be used for wedding portraits. This will be my first 85mm lens. I have been shooting weddings on a D3300 (an APS-C DSLR) with 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 18-135mm, and DX 35mm f/1.8G lenses for the past 12 years. I recently got the Z5 II with the 2

Convince me why Nikon Z50 II is a bad buy and should go for Sony?

Thank you. Only after I made post here am I getting great Nikon recommendation. I am convinced to go for Nikon unless I find great used deal for Sony. With all this said, I have yet to understand why is Sony gear pushed so much here in other subreddit, sony a6400/a7iii/a7ii + sigma is the 'killer co

Reluctant start

Absolutely. There is nothing wrong with recommending buying into Sony or Canon, as long as there is evidence that Nikon (and ideally Panasonic too) was considered seriously. But so many people just blindly recommend (or lust after) Sony based on reputation rather than an objective appraisal of the c

Fujifilm x100vi vs Ricoh gr iv?

Here is my take. If you have to carry a camera bag you might as well carry a fully capable interchangeable lens camera. I combine the Nikon Z5 II and the Ricoh GRiV. I also much prefer 28mm fov over 35mm. When I’m just walking around the Ricoh. When I’m looking to shoot the Nikon. I love to document

Help with settings for wrestling photos?

A lot of the time the lens is considered more important than the camera, but the D90 is getting close to 20 years old (released in 2008). It was from a much earlier generation of digital cameras. I think you will still want a faster lens, but a modern camera in the same price range will significantl

D3300 upgrade?

Recommend Z5 or Z6 II. D3300 is APS-C. It isn't worth get another APS-C. If possible save up for Z5 II. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1931820-REG/nikon_z5_ii_mirrorless_camera.html https://cameradecision.com/compare/Nikon-Z6-Mark-II-vs-Nikon-Z5

What camera should I get for street photography?

Hey, thanks for laying out your dilemma so clearly - a lot of folk are in a similar spot, and it's honestly not an easy choice to make. If we're talking full frame, something like the Nikon Z5 II or Zf will definately hit all your technical boxes. The dynamic range, low-light performance, and that b
