Birthday gift help! Which option would you pick?

Sir, those aren't point and shoot cameras. Personally I have the Nikon zfc, light and reliable camera great for carrying aroun. It's sensor is an aps-c, so lenses are cheaper and the quality is great for socials or not-very-large prints. Also I use cheaper lenses (mostly Viltrox). Most point and sho

OM System Now Majority Owned By Former Olympus Camera Division Lead

The big one is that the Continuous AF with Tracking is nowhere near as good as Nikon 3D Tracking, and you can't set it to "any subject detect" like the Nikons. Then other things like you can't re-center the focus point by long-pressing "OK" unless you have moved it recently and it is active. Punch-i

New to photography - Any help and suggestions with this please.

I have a J5 sitting on my desk, actually, and carried a D5x00 series camera for years. Money no object, it sounds like you really want a Df, Zfc, or Zf if we're being honest, but first question, what sort of project? There are certain things that will lend themselves to the J5 or D5600 better. And t

Looking to buy a ZFC

If you aren’t sure about using marketplace you might wait for the monthly refurb sale on Nikon USA - sometimes the ZFC with kit lens is a pretty good deal there.

Do the third party grips for the Zf completely make up for the ergonomic deficiency in the body or are users still making a compromise to get that vintage feel?

The ZFc is frankly not good value unless you buy used and know what you’re getting into. The ZF is a capable full-frame camera in a Fujifilm-esque body. The ZFc is a Nikon Z30 shoved inside a smaller version of the ZF. You get a nice looking metal body (albeit with a cheap feeling plasticky coating)

best camera

This one's kind of a tough question because there is so much out there right now. There's mirrorless, DSLR, etc. Do you want interchangeable lenses? Just one lens, pocket camera etc? A used Fuji XE model is fantastic. Nikon makes a reasonably priced ZFC model. There is a company called camp snap tha

Please can I have some advice for getting my first camera.

An R7 used would be out of your price range just for the body alone. If you're looking for APS-C Nikon has the ZFC and Z50. Prices on these are well under $1K for bodies only on MPB and depending what lens you get you could get a complete kit for under your budget. Also check out KEH for used gear a

What camera would you suggest to me?

Hey thank you so much! I looked at the articles and I remember really liking the look and feel of a Nikon ZFC. Ill look into that one. I feel you on the Fuji, but the pricing and stock running out have been putting me off/on the fence about purchasing one. I'm not sure as I do want to get a new came
