Why does the Fujifilm community feel so "alive" and where can I find this vibe with Nikon?
Because Fuji had to spin their lack of image quality and hipsters swallowed it hook, line, and sinker? You can pump the ISO and saturation sliders on any Nikon and get the same lack of dynamic range, grain, and retinal color assault that Fuji lovers enjoy. Ken Rockwell fucking loves his Nikon camera

Yeah if you sort both subs by New and follow them for a while it does seem like there are more images and less chatter on Fujifilm. Probably several thi gs going on. Nikon historically has been more widely known and has made a lot more cameras than Fujifilm. A lot of gear questions in this sub are a

Anyone switched from fuji to Nikon zf and regretted it ?
I switched from Nikon mirrored to Fuji. I was in the same boat, looking at the Zf and Zfc for a nice retro manual digital camera. I loved my FF camera and the depth of field it has (I have take many great photos with it.). I liked the Zf more than the Zfc, but neither truly offered that manual camer

Nikon z fc or Nikon z50II?
The sensor on the Zfc is exactly the same as the Z50ii and every other Nikon modern DX camera, 20.9MP. Any difference in their output is realistically placebo trying to justify the Zfc. If youre shooting RAW color depends on post editing, if you're shooting JPEG, it depends on in-camera profile. The

Thinking of switching from Fujifilm to Z8. Lens suggestions please?
For casual birding, I used to shoot a Nikon 1 V3 with the CX 70-300 f/5.6, which would literally fit in a jacket pocket. I bought an AF-S 200-500 f/5.6 thinking it would be "Better because full frame is better". I've used it twice... In fact I switched to an OM-3 because of it. ...I love my Nikon ki

Picture Control without Flexible Colours
I tried a couple of NPC files and unfortunately, on modern sensors, they don’t render images the same way as they do on older DSLRs. You can try the Ektachrome P picture control - maybe it works better on the Zfc than it does on the Zf I used to test it. If you want something akin to film simulation

Looking for a travel camera and first mirrorless
Z50 II is on the latest generation of Nikon software, whereas the Zfc is a generation back. The extra customizability, improved autofocus (subject detection and the return of 3D tracking), and better camera responsiveness are worth the upgrade

D3300 upgrade?
The Z50II is actually heavier than your D3300. The Zfc is only 20g lighter (2/3 oz). The ZTF adapter is 133g (5 oz) and looking at the Nikon company site does not even appear compatible with the Zfc. A Z-mount camera would be heavier, and have less resolution.

The OM System OM-3 should let us map more buttons to more things.
Also, (OK) long-press should ALWAYS return the focus point to its home position, even if the focus move mode isn't active. There's a lot of menu settings that imply operation that would make sense, but the actual operation takes an extra step (first move the point, then press OK for >0.5s). Honestly
