Never thought I'd spiral this far when starting with my D3200

I bought a Z fc last year with a 16-50mm kit lens for taking photos while solo hiking as a hobby, this autumn I could not caputre a castle ruin from an other ruin the way I wanted to (it was too far away), so I bought the 50-250mm kit lens too for Xmas and now I'm genuinely afraid I won't be able to

Christmas present to myself: Voigtländer NOKTON 40mm f/1.2

I think it’s important to remember that while Nikon is slimmer than competing camera companies, it takes significant time develop lenses. Then, you have the task of analyzing the risk versus reward of developing brand new lenses for what is essentially one camera. Yes, the ZF is popular, and to a sm

Silver zf looks and feels very cheap

Got a Nikon ZF recently and have been going through vintage camera stores in Seoul. At first I thought similarly but after looking at the thousandth Nikon FM2, I think I'd disagree. Older vintage cameras silver are a bit duller/darker. The ZFC, which is a brighter silver, looks great too, but I can

Which camera ecosystem would you buy into tomorrow if you were starting fresh?

Sony or Nikon for sure, probably sony if you're looking for a more compact system with the a6xx line or the A7C models, nikon if you're looking for a tank of a system or something more "aesthetic" like the ZFc or ZF models.

Do the third party grips for the Zf completely make up for the ergonomic deficiency in the body or are users still making a compromise to get that vintage feel?

The ZFc is frankly not good value unless you buy used and know what you’re getting into. The ZF is a capable full-frame camera in a Fujifilm-esque body. The ZFc is a Nikon Z30 shoved inside a smaller version of the ZF. You get a nice looking metal body (albeit with a cheap feeling plasticky coating)

Straight from a happy meal.

I don't like the McDonald's color palette for photography gear, although the actual inspiration is KODAK qccorsign to TTA. If Fujifilm had the audacity of producing colored cameras like Nikon did with the Zfc/Zf, then maybe this lens would find a camera with colors to match (can't remember if these

Why do only Leica and Fujifilm make the aesthetically pleasing cameras in the market?

Personally I'm a big fan of the cameras that look modern, but are not all-grip (so things like Fuji's X-H2, and basically all Sony and Lumix cameras, if I had to call out on from those brands I'd say the Sony a1 and Lumix G100). As to your question, both offer cameras with a greater focus on an inte

What lenses should i buy?

I’d consider Nikon’s 24mm DX 1.7 over the Viltrox, it’s a cracking little lens. Then for 56mm, one of my favourite lenses for my ZFC is the Sigma 56mm 1.4. It’s a bit more pricey than the Viltrox but exceptional build quality and I seem to repeatedly get my best shots with it. I did have the Viltrox

Retro looking mirrorless camera without polycarbonate(plastic) body?

Being plastic on the outside does not mean it’s plastic on the inside The Nikon zf is primarily magnesium alloy construction https://www.nikonusa.com/p/z-f/13595 https://m.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-zf-full-frame-mirrorless-camera-review Also the Nikon Zfc also has a magnesium alloy chassis https://
