So Long to the Z7 Platform?
Nah. It's pretty clear that Nikon doesn't think there's enough demand for a Z7/Z8/Z9. We all (on reddit) would like for Nikon to do an A7R alternative Z7III. A high megapixel slow still camera is a niche that's not currently filled, and doesn't require a fast readout sensor.

My best mineral Moon taken with Nikon Z8
Looks amazing and so beautiful! š I just looked up the price of the Nikon Z9 plus the lens (80-400) NASA uses and holly hell itās expensive! š³

Nikon ZF II
I think it is, not because it makes sense for the community but because it makes sense for the corporate. It will resemble S1Rii without video. Leica is launching photocentric SL3-p (45mp) in May because Sony made this sensor available after some castrations ZFii unlike z7iii would not be able to ca

Best High End Camera?
Looking at the photos, you'll need more than just a camera, you'll need proper lights. Otherwise for the camera you can pick anything from the major brands, Nikon Z9, Canon R1, Sony A1II, they're all fairly similar, especially for portraits where you don't really need such a high end camera. A Canon

What am I doing wrong, movement on Z7II.
You are not alone, many of us did when it first came out but the expeed 6 processor is inferior - there is no quality Nikon equivalent to the D700 series anymore high megapixel small body - they seem to have abandoned it for the Z8 and Z9 or lower megapixel Zf/Z6III

In a little over 2 hours from posting this, Nikon D5s might be headed to the moon!
Ok I gotta askā¦. Why in gods name would they do a 40mm F/2? That seems like the weirdest thing in history to cheap out on. Billions to go to the moon, thousands to get a Z9. Get one of the budget Nikon non-sealed lenses to go with it?

Iāve fu*ked up..
Another case of understand your gear. From my understanding as someone who has never used Nikon as a main system the Z8/Z9 only shoot 20fps RAW and 30 jpeg. And as someone who shoots on the faster side it is amazing you stayed in 30fps the entire wedding.. Also cannot get behind using monochrome as

What do you use to photograph your sets?
Honestly, these days a decent cell phone camera will get the job done well. Anything from the last 3 years, especially an iPhone or Pixel will work, especailly if you take the time to learn the manual settings. I have a Nikon Z9 and some nice lenses, and often my Pixel 9 takes pictures as good, or s

Hello, World: Artemis II crew looks back at Earth on their way to the Moon
Interesting, says an A1ii is on board the Integrity. Sony produces the vast majority of sensors used in Nikon cameras, fwiw. The A1ii uses a great sensor and definitely superior to even the Z9. The great thing about Sony is that, IMO, their lenses are even better than the S-line Nikon lenses, sharpe

āHello, Worldā: NASA releases new high-res images of our home planet from Artemis ll
Last minute, they were able to bring a Nikon z9 camera up into space. All the big talk from douchebags like Bezos & Musk, no one could give $5k to the fucking camera department? Take a FUJI GFX up there for Chrissakes. Itās the fucking moon. What are we even doing? Itās like going to the Grand Canyo
