Hello, World: Artemis II crew looks back at Earth on their way to the Moon

The Z9 and needed lenses are most likely not fully modified for the mission, so they took the fully certified D5 instead. Yes Z9s are already on the ISS, this isn't the same mission. They do have a Z9 on board albeit with a 40/2. For the D5's defense, its sensor's got the best high ISO performance o

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

Nah. It's pretty clear that Nikon doesn't think there's enough demand for a Z7/Z8/Z9. We all (on reddit) would like for Nikon to do an A7R alternative Z7III. A high megapixel slow still camera is a niche that's not currently filled, and doesn't require a fast readout sensor.

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

On a settings banks equipped modern camera (EXPEED 5 and later at least, might go back to the EXPEED 4), you can also set it to change between banks with a simple button+dial with your eye to the finder and immediate feedback, just like you'd adjust exposure compensation or ISO. There are also numer

Should I get a Nikon 85mm 1.8 z or 135mm F2 DC with adapter.

I have both the Plena and the 135mm f2 DC and I use them both on my Z9. Although they are the same focal length they are two widely different lenses. I love the rendering and the defocus control of the 135DC. Only problem is that the Nikon sensor is so sensitive that you will get purple and green ch

Why does every crap talk Nikon?

Camera specs are behind, bigger, heavier, lower performance, that is the preZ9 situation again. But we do have some good and cheap cameras and lenses, so for now ok with me The recent negativity may be coming from the delays to Z9ii and growing fear that Nikon will further restrict 3rd party lenses,

Hello, World: Artemis II crew looks back at Earth on their way to the Moon

Interesting, says an A1ii is on board the Integrity. Sony produces the vast majority of sensors used in Nikon cameras, fwiw. The A1ii uses a great sensor and definitely superior to even the Z9. The great thing about Sony is that, IMO, their lenses are even better than the S-line Nikon lenses, sharpe

Pre Capture limitation to jpeg

You don't know that much of the processing is happening on the sensor itself. None of us know that; and besides it's likely not to be the case. I'm sure if Nikon wanted to add a mode where they read out the entire sensor 15 or 20 times a second, they could do that. We already see frame rate differen
