Hello, World: Artemis II crew looks back at Earth on their way to the Moon
The Z9 and needed lenses are most likely not fully modified for the mission, so they took the fully certified D5 instead. Yes Z9s are already on the ISS, this isn't the same mission. They do have a Z9 on board albeit with a 40/2. For the D5's defense, its sensor's got the best high ISO performance o

iPhone footage of the Moon taken by Astronaut Reid Wiseman
Is Christina using some old school spacey Nikon kit ? I mean, obviously things worked out, but I’m shocked there isn’t a better mirrorless body to use. In space, every gram counts. Edit: Reddit says it was the Nikon D5 DSLR (launched 2016) which is hardended for space and then the Nikon Z9 mirrorles

Apollo 11 vs Artemis 2 core separation. 56 years apart
Yeah Hasselblad could do it if NASA asked them, they probably would even make brand new models, especially with the advancements in modernised film from Kodak too it would be a very good way of getting high quality images of missions. They have a Nikon Z9 only from request of the crew which is madde

What would have better quality: A P1100 at 3000mm or AF-S NIKKOR 500mm with 3 2x teleconverters?
Keep in mind that the P1100 has a 5.6x crop factor compared to full frame. So putting the 500mm on something like a Nikon Z9, you would have to crop the heck out of the full frame to have the same sensor size as the P1100. At 500mm and cropping down 5.6x to only use the same sensor size as the P1100

Should I get a Nikon 85mm 1.8 z or 135mm F2 DC with adapter.
I have both the Plena and the 135mm f2 DC and I use them both on my Z9. Although they are the same focal length they are two widely different lenses. I love the rendering and the defocus control of the 135DC. Only problem is that the Nikon sensor is so sensitive that you will get purple and green ch

How do I take star photos?
Every camera and lens is going to be a little bit different. You have to play around and see what works. Remember that you’ll need to process the images later. A good way of figuring things out is to set the camera and do a bracket set. Use the shutter timer, not your finger. You have to find a bala

Why does every crap talk Nikon?
Camera specs are behind, bigger, heavier, lower performance, that is the preZ9 situation again. But we do have some good and cheap cameras and lenses, so for now ok with me The recent negativity may be coming from the delays to Z9ii and growing fear that Nikon will further restrict 3rd party lenses,

Which to buy?
You will still do it on your comptuer. ;) The in-cam focus stacking is a nice preview but it's not perfect as it will sometimes introduce artifacts, etc. And it's limited to only a few frames. (It think 15 on the OM1?). So you will be probably still using classical focus bracketing (which the OM1 ca

What do you use to photograph your sets?
Honestly, these days a decent cell phone camera will get the job done well. Anything from the last 3 years, especially an iPhone or Pixel will work, especailly if you take the time to learn the manual settings. I have a Nikon Z9 and some nice lenses, and often my Pixel 9 takes pictures as good, or s

Z6 iii or a7v
A7v, it's just better in all the right ways. Nikon has to hit back now, but it's gonna be at least another 18 months probably. Real talk, the A7v improves all the things photographers want. Just to elaborate, the A7V has: - An open mount - Smaller lenses, and more varied lenses, just as good if not
