So Long to the Z7 Platform?
To me the D750 was perfect and I wish I hadn’t traded it in to buy the Z7II. Got so many great images and years from it with our kids growing up. I actually used the built in flash too. I almost immediately traded up to the Z8 when Nikon had a promotion because the AF on the Z7II was so frustrating.

Please Nikon make a Z7 III
The next Z7 would be a Z8 pressed in a smaller and lighter version. But don't expect groundbreaking innovations if it comes soon. If there is a killer feature in queue, they will release it for Z9 first and make sure the Z8 or next Z8 will have an even larger gap to the queen. So Z7 needs to be repo

They said it looks unusually big which is even more strange because the image is downscaled to 8mp from the native 24mp. But then also says it was too small so they went with Z7ii. Two conflicting statements that make no sense.
