I bought one a few months ago. Very impressed with it. The low-light capability blows away my D850. I took shots of hummingbirds at 10k-40k ISO and with the denoising in Lightroom, they look like butter-no grain, clean. The AF is much better than the Z7ii I used to have (sold it and bought the D850)

The Z7 or Z7ii are still a leading class landscape camera. If landscapes are your thing, pick up a used Z7 on Marketplace for cheap. The only disadvantage to the original Z7 has to do with its slower AF and tracking algorithms. You don't need lightning quick AF for landscapes. That being said, how o

Don’t worry about ISO. Just make sure sure you use the “Camera matching profiles”, I.e “Camera Standard”. People don’t zoom in to look at photo details, only photographers do. VR is very good on the cameras. Unless your subject is moving, you should be able to offset the f/4 with shutter speed. A li

For a Z7iii to ever exist, it needs to be really high res, like at least the 61mp that Sony has. I think it would be cool to get an IQ focused camera as well, like PhaseOne levels of DR while also having a lot of MP but I just don't know if that is possible on the full frame sensor or not... For pure landscape a Z7 or Z7ii is still absolutely top notch. It's been discussed many times, but I don't think a Z7iii is coming. The Z8 has that covered.

For me the Z7ii excels in every aspect except focus. That's the only reason I'd go for a Z7iii over my Z7ii. Better focusing and the pre-release shutter would be nice to have. Aside from that, the Z7ii is the perfect size and weight of mirrorless camera for me. Do I need 45MP? No, but when you put i

I’d be interested in a Z7iii too, but I doubt we’ll ever see one for the reasons already mentioned in this thread. That said, maybe your “pure photo” camera is already here in the Z7ii. I know—the autofocus isn’t as good as what you get with the Z6iii, and it lacks many of the newer Expeed 7 feature

Oh I should clarify my Olympus was like decades ago. I went from canon to Nikon in 2024 and I love Nikon! Fits my hands perfectly and the files are great. Just very easy. Z7ii

I mostly shoot portrait indoor and outdoor, and I also use my camera for deep space long exposure astrophotography as well. For those use cases I'd pick Z7ii. The AF is easily good enough for those use cases and it has the best image quality of the bunch. If you need to shoot action, then the choise

Mirrorless cameras get the job done more efficiently and the photos are sharper thanks to no mirror jerk and stabilized sensors, but nothing beats being able to look through the OVF without turning the camera on, 3-4x battery life and instant responsiveness of the power switch. I got into mirorless
