Nikon z6 for everything
The D7200 is only 90 g (3 oz) heavier than the Z6. If weight is your main concern and want to get into mirrorless, take a look at the Z50ii. It is over 300 g lighter than the D7200 plus it has the most current generation processor (Expeed 7), which the Z5ii also has. It has much better autofocus, fa

Nikon Z50 upgrade or switch systems for better video?
Switching systems at this point seems silly - it’s not like there aren’t already Nikon bodies with great video, and given that they bought RED, we’d expect incredible video improvements in the next generation or two. You should be looking at the Z5ii. Dear god, don’t get a Z6ii at this point.

Mirrorless D500
High-end crop sensor, i.e. north of $2,000 USD, is a hard sell. Even Fujifilm, the most successful crop sensor vendor, couldn't move X-H2 and X-H2S bodies when all of their other cameras were regularly out of stock. I also think Nikon was pretty successful in moving their higher-end DX DSLR customer

Z6iii versus Z6ii
As someone who owns both a Z6ii and a Z6iii the Z6iii is superior in every way. Z6iii Autofocus is Leagues better than the Z6ii Z6ii needs a $200 paid firmware update and to be sent to Nikon to unlock video feature that don't even scratch the surface of what the Z6iii can record also to take advanta

Z6 vs Z6ii
Honestly I wouldnt recommend either for professional event shooting especially wedding photography. They're both fine for hobbyist, product, and portrait photography Definitely not the Z6 due to only having a card single slot It's possible to do but I would not trust the autofocus on that level Z6ii

Anyone return to DSLR after using mirrorless?
In 2019 I rented a Z7 for a trip to Ireland to try along with my D850. My impression of the Z7 was “meh”. Image quality was good but ergonomics and especially battery life were definitely unimpressive. I returned the rental and didn’t even consider mirrorless for a while after that. Sometime around

Z6iii versus Z6ii
Pretty much https://www.nikonusa.com/content/raw-video-output?srsltid=AfmBOoojLpF_NY_-P5-OtRwh1X6BiZWBFBqTqbWR_4vlAa0_VG6HoX94 I don't think it unlocks anything else I did it before I had my Z6iii, luckily Nikon USA is only 15 mins from my house so I was able to drop it off / pick it up without shipping

Best 850 settings for sport videography?
general advice here is the usual rules for video. You'd want shutter or manual mode to fine tune a consistent shutter. For my needs on z6II it has to be manual. No clue about 850. whatever frame rate is, shutter is double that. 24 is 48, 30 is 60, 60 is 120 shutter, 120 if doing that 240. Or closest

Z6II or Z5II
Refurbished Z5ii goes for 1350 in Nikon refurbished currently and that's hell of a deal for a perfect entry level full frame that punches way more than an entry level camera.... It is also equally hybrid camera compared to Z6ii but video autofoyand still autofocus will be much more usable... Nikon f

Nikon z6 ii or Sony A7 III
Recommend A7III for better AF and able record video to two sd cards on same time. https://youtu.be/QJwDozT1mXM https://cameradecision.com/compare/Nikon-Z6-Mark-II-vs-Sony-Alpha-A7-III https://sonyalpha.blog/2019/11/10/which-lenses-to-maximise-the-potential-of-the-sony-a7riv
