What is it with Nikon and Social Media

If you're a landscape photographer, sure. But as a wedding or event photographer, the Z6 was completely underwhelming and literally generations behind the competition.. Tracking was rudimentary. AF could not keep up with moving subjects, especially in low light. It didn't even have eye detection out

Z5ii vs Z6iii

I’ve gone through a big part of Nikon’s lineup (D80, D90, D7000, D7200, D600, D610, D800, D800E, Z6, Z6II, Zfc, Z50II, Z6III, Z8), not to mention the analogue bodies. In my experience, the image quality basically tops out somewhere around the D750/D600 generation. The difference in IQ between those

Z8 lowlight performance

Seeing is believing. Take a look at it at various ISOs against other cameras. https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison?attr18=lowlight&attr13_0=nikon_z6ii&attr13_1=nikon_z8&attr13_2=nikon_z7ii&attr13_3=sony_a7iv&attr15_0=raw&attr15_1=raw&attr15_2=raw&attr15_3=raw&attr16_0=25600&attr16_1=25600&attr16_2=25

What camera should I buy?

Skip the first gen Z6, the Z6II is a bare minimum. But if budget is tight, go for a D750 (FX) or D500 - but the D500 (DX) will tie you to crop lenses, while a full frame (FX) camera will give you the option to use the same lenses on mirrorless (if recent lenses) with the FTZ adapter. Using a Z6 pure

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! January 30, 2026

If you were fine with the 35mm focal length on the 1300D, then I guess you could make the 50mm work with the R6. Indeed for very low light situations, the prime may be better than the zoom with the extra light. Can't speak for colours but autofocus will be improved whichever one you go with although

Nikon upgrade question

What is inaccurate? I claimed the Z9 is the top camera for this genre from that brand, which it is.I claimed the Z6ii is usable and a big upgrade from OPs current, which it is. However it's still not great for it. Which it isn't And that the body matters a lot for this genre, which it does. You are

I cant focus im loosing my mind

I used to own the z6ii. it worked phenomenally on bright sunny days. When it was cloudy or low light conditions, it struggled with AF. All my photos from a trip where it was cloudy or dark like in a restaurant were slightly out of focus. All the brightly lit photos were tack sharp. I thought it was
