Anyone return to DSLR after using mirrorless?

I did, for the optical view finder and to easily swap lenses between my F3. I sold my Nikon Z6ii and picked up a D700 body and it’s been great. All I needed was a decent DSLR body to shoot vintage glass with for my use case.

Honest user review of Nikon Z5ii with Tamron 28-75 f2.8

It's not just AF for stills. The Z5ii has multi-shot high-res, better manual focus assists, the improved Non-CPU Data menu (big deal if you shoot a lot of non-CPU lenses), Pre-Capture (JPEG-only), the 15c and 30c drive modes (also JPEG only), a new high efficiency file format and support for Flexibl

Blow out fixes?

AH. I was originally going to buy a used 5DmIII, but thankfully I was fortunate enough to afford a Nikon Z6ii. But I still think of her and what could have been haha. I still prefer the body ergonomics of Canon far more, with Sony coming in second. Push that camera to its limits and good luck!

D4 in 2026

Haha, I see this exactly opposite. Left pro field some 10 years back. After 25 years with (D)SLRs (think D2x, D3, D700, D800, F5, F100,...) and rangefinders for paid work and various medium formats for personal projects, I made a foray into mirrorless Z6ii and the camera feels dwarfed by the most le

In contrary Z5/6/7 II has button directly on the edge - perhaps more prone to be pressed when camera bumps to things. I'm una

Z6II or Z5II

Refurbished Z5ii goes for 1350 in Nikon refurbished currently and that's hell of a deal for a perfect entry level full frame that punches way more than an entry level camera.... It is also equally hybrid camera compared to Z6ii but video autofoyand still autofocus will be much more usable... Nikon f

Abes of Maine warning

Bought a z6ii from them, with 3 year extended a week ago. Menu buttons don't work consistently and the hdmi feed is spotty. I shoot macro and NEED hdmi because my eyes suck. Called to initiate a repair/replacement and the asshole customer service rep acted like it was my fault or as if i was making

Helping Buying My First Camera

Before the Z5II, I had used both the Z5 and the Z6II for several years. I can confidently say that, between the two, the Z5 is the better camera. Overall, the Z5 is an excellent camera, especially considering the price you can get it for right now. Yes, the autofocus is not as good as on the Z5II, b
