VSX vs. high-end open backs (max 1000 euro): How do you build a reliable reference in a terrible room?
Yeah I feel you. A lot of people like to think they can hack the system and get the same quality product for 5-10 times less the price of high end gear. I've been there. High end gear costs what it costs for a reason and it comes to point where you can't cut corners, that's when magical solutions ma

Looking for Studio Monitors ~$2,000–$3,000 for Small Home Studio (Experimental Electronic / Ambient / Indie Pop / Contemporary Classical)
You will need EXTENSIVE treatment if you want to get anywhere close to a decent mix environment in a room that small. That is the EXACT size as my room and it took me thirty eight 6" and 9" thick bass-traps with a 6" air gap on all walls, all corners and ceiling to get my room to the point it was us

Near-field studio monitors suggestions
I was looking into the kh120 also but decided to go with aps klasik 2020. They go lower, translate really well and I didn't like that Neumann forces you to get their measurement mic just to use the dsp system. Hedd audio does some nice monitors as well :)

Sorry for using the DIY flare but I’ve just started setting up my production desk, which includes a pair of Neumann KH 120 II and KH 750 Subwoofer. When I set it up, for the first half an hour, I could hear everything playing well. Slowly the weird behavior kicked in and altho both monitors showed a

Best Studio Monitors?
HS7 doesn't take up as much space as HS8 and will give you a very clear presentation of the mids, while giving you more fullness than HS5. As long as you stick to 6.5-7" monitors in your budget range from established brands, you should be fine. There is no best, only equilibrium between price, capab

Has anyone ever bought a Neumann u87 B stock from Alro music?
Alto is legit but i will say I had quite the shit experience buying a repack pair of neumann kh120 mk II speakers from them a few months ago. The speakers came with some defects, I shipped them back and received another pair of speakers with defects. The third exchange I finally got speakers that we

Need an advice: Genelec vs Focal vs Neumann
I'd probably rule out those Genelecs merely based on their size. With Genelec, size and output level come at a steep premium, and those two models are tiny. I know a lot of people who like Neumann's, but when I tried the KH120's, I found them to be quite a bit darker than I'd expected, and it was a

A couple of weeks ago this sound randomly started coming out of my left Neumann KH120. I've had them over a decade. https://imgur.com/a/RnfdtNn What is that? Is that power? EMI? Nothings changed in the setup so I assumed it was the speaker going. Sounds like digital bacon in a bad way.

Neumann DSP Monitors with MA1 correction - My experience
uhh, how did you like the calibration with non-neumann monitors? i'm also thinking of gettingt the 25's but i fear without the room correction i currently use with my kh120's&750 sub it'll be worse. My room is treated quite ok down until 120Hz.
