Thoughts on pro audio interfaces as DACs

I am a HiFi dealer, and my at home setup is an audio interface and a pair of studio monitors as well. RME ADI-2, Neumann KH80, DSP corrected plus the room is acoustically treated. There is nothing either better or more compact in my opinion, and the DAC is great as a connection to other gear like he

I improved my monitoring situation, mixing is way easier and now I’m finding most plugins useless.

We can talk anecdotes and opinions all day. If you look at the EBU Tech paper section 2.2, they specify to 40 Hz. The KH80 is -4 dB at 55 Hz. So granted, they don’t quite get there, but I’ll say that even 60 Hz plus some headphones is sufficient. https://tech.ebu.ch/docs/tech/tech3276.pdf https://ww

This was the first SFF I built, actually the first PC I built in 25+ years. Now I can't stop.

It's amazing at its size. It does really sound good, and I've had friends moved from Genelec to them. I did move on because I wanted something less monitor-y for this setup. (I have the Neumann KH-80 on my editing desk, which to me is better than D3V but also much more expensive)

Kali Lp6v2 vs higher end brands?

For your setup, the Kali LP6v2 gives excellent value - wide sweet spot, solid low-end for the price, and pairs well with Sonarworks. In a small untreated room, the Genelec 8010A or Neumann KH 80 will translate better due to tighter imaging and built-in DSP (in KH 80). If you can grab KH 80s used wit

New speakers day - radiant Clarity 6.2

Neumann is great and I actually just purchased the kh-80 but their subwoofers are very expensive and I think you can get similar performance for Less from rhythmik

Audio monitors placement in assymetrical room

The best choice (must have) for an untreated room is to use monitors with built-in DSP and room correction. Such as Neumann KH 80 DSP / KH120 II etc., IKmultimedia iloud micro monitor Pro / MTM II / Precision 5 etc.

Looking for Studio Monitors ~$2,000–$3,000 for Small Home Studio (Experimental Electronic / Ambient / Indie Pop / Contemporary Classical)

Neumann KH 80 + KH 750 or Genelec 8030 + 7050, both with DSP room correction. The bass won't be excessive with properly placed and tuned sub, actually it will be excellent. I personally recommend purchasing a measurement mic, it will help with positioning and equalization - the results will pleasant

Current Game/WFH setup, any speaker suggestions?

I haven’t heard a near field monitor that sounds better than the Neumann KH80 DSP. I’ve also enjoyed the Vanatoo Transparent Zero and One.

Best bookshelf speaker setup up to 2.5k

Similar budget to you and it came down to space. I tried out the Neumann KH120 II, but they just overwhelmed my midsized desk. Considered the smaller Genelecs against the KH 80 and ended up going with the KH 80 with the MA 1 DSP and an SVS 3000 Micro sub. Fits very well in a desktop setup, has a goo

Looking for a Small but powerful integrated amp for a desk set up

With that much budget, have you considered a pair of studio monitors? They’d save a ton of desk space and almost any decent monitor will have better near field performance than the RP600Ms. You might start with a look at Neumann KH 80 or 120 or similar offering from Genelec/Adam/etc if this sounds p
