This brand is honestly a total letdown. The quality is absolute garbage. I hope nobody ever buys from you again. You're going to fail sooner or later

Netgear / Orbi is possibly the worst garbage you can find in mesh wifi systems. I had to return an Orbi 870. Never looked back

Sonos + Orbi 770 troubleshoot

Yes. I had that same issue.! And I have a couple of solutions for you! I even contacted Sonos support and spent hours to find this. So if you have a Sonos arc or surround system, the only good way to get it to work is too hard wire ethernet to the system. You only need one to be connected and the re

Netgear just EOL'd my Orbi AC3000 – any recommendations?

The only downside of keep using the current Orbi system is lack of security updates. If that is the reason, I think buying a newest, stand-alone Netgear router as your gateway, and wire your existing Orbi network to it. You can keep the AC3000 network settings on ur devices. It’s even better if the n

Plz recommend between Orbi 870, 970 or Eero Max 7

I’ve been a netgear orbi user for the better part of a decade. RBK52 and RBK852. Just switched away this week. The orbi can be a good consumer level mesh system with strong radios that push signal far. And it will work well, for some time. The orbi’s issues are netgear and their firmware. At least o

Parental Controls

I gave up on Netgear's Parental Controls, routing capabilities, and ideas of wireless mesh altogether, none of these are reliable on my RBK53 setups either or much any better at all on any newer models since from what I often read about in here. Most of today's world of user devices use DNS over htt

Wifi Streaming

Is it this one? https://www.netgear.com/home/wifi/mesh/orbi/ I don't know how this works, is it like you have one router and some wireless repeaters of some kind? I mean, maybe it's fast enough, maybe not, if the signal has to hop a few times that will for sure add some latency. I guess you'll have

RBE971 - The Worst Product Ever Made: Do Not Purchase

The Orbi 971 series has been an absolute joke of a half-baked product right from day one, rushed to market without even being properly tested. Its underlying automation logic is completely broken: the Band Steering algorithms are so utterly atrocious that they throw every single device in the house

ASUS BQ16 router - dead lan ports

Sure thing! If I am honest I initially thought I’d made a massive mistake. But after I factory reset, everything worked and has outperformed my old kit. I previously had a Netgear Orbi Pro SXR80 mesh which had worked well for 4 years although that did have a tendency to drop connections and old devi

Just bought orbi yesterday and it just seems so unreliable

if you have that Orbi junk in AP mode, you will NEVER get the details on the devices on your network, you can only get that from your home router when using Orbi in AP mode AS others have said, ditch that crap and avoid Netgear and TP Stink like the plague

This brand is honestly a total letdown. The quality is absolute garbage. I hope nobody ever buys from you again. You're going to fail sooner or later

My Orbi Pro SXR80 / SXS80 system has essentially been bricked. Absolutely terrible. Router can't connect to satellites despite wired backhaul, with the latest app update, it shows ZERO connected clients, although that is wrong. Wifi is non-functional. Radio somehow stopped working on the router, see
