Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10
Partially true. It is slightly more setup if you're obsessive and want it perfect. There's more to configure. There are definitely firmware issues on UniFi but they fix them quick and you can always roll back. I'm still waiting a year later for a fix from Netgear on a huge issue with Orbi 770/970 st

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?
Thanks for sharing your experience! Interesting that some are seeing issues with BE wifi on certain mobile devices and others are not. This is why I am considering still trying the 770. My biggest concern is if the antennae (intentional plural spelling) in the 770 are a downgrade (as it has been rep

Want to upgrade my wifi mesh
If you have the XT8 and are satisfied with there performance you can always get the ET8 which is the 6E version. I would avoid the Orbi 770 series they have been firmware nightmares as of late. The Orbi 960 system is very solid and has insane range and speed. I have personally had the all 3 systems

Orbi 770 vs eero pro 7
I have the Orbi 770 and am disapointed in it. I'm looking at the Pro 7 as a replacement. Our neighborhood recently got a fiber provider installed and I was pretty excited. We had the older RBK50 or whatever and our speeds were rock solid and fast. But it was still older tech so while we were getting

issue with iPhone
Similar issues. iPhone 17 pro and Orbi 770. I noticed slower speed seems to be due to hanging on to a satellite or router longer than it should when I am closer to another. If I wait a few minutes or turn off WiFi and back on, speed jumps up again. The Orbi app rarely shows the correct AP for my dev

BEWARE: Orbi 770 is absolute trash. Netgear support is even worse.
The Orbi 770 doesn't have dedicated backhaul, it shares the 5 Ghz and 6 Ghz client bands. Only the 800 and 900 series have dedicated wifi backhaul bands. Edit: A mesh system is overkill for a 1000 sq ft home!

My experience with Orbi 870 has been a nightmare
The Orbi 770/870 have great range but the buffer bloat is terrible. I returned mine and purchased an eero 7 Pro 3-pack. It’s been easy-sailing since then.

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?
Thanks for the feedback. Did you ever have the Orbi 850 or similar before the Orbi 770 for comparison? I read in one review of the 770 on Netgear.com where an owner experienced inferior range than their prior generation Orbi, but it was just one review. I just do not want to go to the 770 and have w

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?
Thanks for the additional details and feedback. Hopefully you're enjoying the 970. Yes, I am leaning towards trying it out. Right now I can get the 770 3-pack brand new for a great price after sale price and coupon, so I may just try it out and compare it (just a bit of a hassle to switch my setup a

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?
About 3100 sq feet, NOT including a large finished basement which has lots of wireless devices also (s o3 stories to cover). I think the theoretically is the key / operative word there. I tested my Netgear A8000 Wiif 6E adapter in the same room as the RBR850 router and it did not get anywhere near w
