Best Bang for the Buck Mesh WiFi System

I'd go with the TP-Link Deco XE70 Pro, it offers the best balance of performance, future-proofing (Wi-Fi 6E), and value. Great for large homes with lots of devices, and supports multi-gig speeds if your fiber plan is fast. Better value than Orbi 770 unless you really need Wi-Fi 7.

received router, installed router, uninstalled router, returned router.

You're not going to find anything that has 2.5gb ports that isn't expensive, though that's somewhat subjective. I have an Orbi 770 series that does a great job and support 2.5gb across all ports.

Any Recommendations On New Orbi (or other mesh like system) since current one is end of life?

Just replaced my ORBI RBR / RBS20 Mesh system with new ORBI 770 series. Happy with speed and throughput improvements and more consistent and reliable coverage. So far so good

real world difference in wireless vs wired backhaul for Orbi 770?

I use MOCA with my Orbi 770 mesh system. Couldn’t be happier. It just works.

RBR40 - why keep?

I have the exact same one. Just bought the orbi 770 today with prime day deals. Loved the last system but clearly it was getting overloaded with all my devices. Haven’t been able to connect all my lights in basement for over 3 months. This should fix it:)

Upgrading to RBK853 AX6000 vs. AX5200

So your only reason to upgrade is because the RBR40 is end of life I assume, speeds are all good. Have you considered the Orbi 770? Newer tech than the RBK and works well in a wired backhaul environment. It is an entire system also, so you probably wouldn’t need to fork out for an AX6000 in addition

Getting into a UniFi System

It's still going to net them better and more reliable and consistent performance than Netgear if they're coming from Orbi 770/870/970.

New mesh system

I just upgrade to the Orbi 770 and am very happy with my investment. We have about 20 devices hooked up and the internet speed is extremely fast. We live in a brick house with plaster walls. Make the investment. You will not be disappointed.

Any good experiences with Orbi WiFi 7 mesh systems?

I recently (2 months ago) replaced my 5 1/2 year old Netgear Nighthawk X6S (R7690P) Wi-Fi router plus a Nighthawk X4 Range Extender with an Orbi 770 Wi-Fi router with 2 satellites. I have one of the satellites connected via Ethernet and the other via Wi-Fi. I, too, was a little concerned when readin

Not enough speed

One thing I did that helped my Orbi 770 system was to go with a wired connection to the satellites. Got way more stable and more speeds. I still have 1 of my 3 satellites that is wireless and when you get connected to it in the house its slower.
