Netgear will never receive another penny- can’t access the app in the last few months?
Throwing my 2 cents in here as I just bought a new netgear router: Nighthawk AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (RAXE500) I am using the Nighthawk app and it works flawlessly and the setup could not have been easier. YOU are NOT....I repeat....YOU ARE NOT forced to pay for the "Armor" part of the app....
received router, installed router, uninstalled router, returned router.
I’ve got an Raxe500 and I’m pretty sure it supports 2.5G on the WAN. But like another comment said I don’t think you’ll find something anywhere near the price you paid for the failed one - I would expect to be in the 400-600 range or higher (the new Orbis are way higher). And I agree Netgear’s suppo...
WiFi 7 Mesh recommendation
I have used three routers, asus dsl82u, netgear raxe500 and netgear rs700. None of those have drop outs or connection issues when I used them.
Looking for wifi 7/6E AP or Router that has an AP mode
RS300 is a good choice. Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 also has your specs and has great range (and might be cheaper).
Wireless backhaul
How big is the house? A mesh system with wifi 7 will help with wireless backhaul because of its ability to do MLO. But these are not mid-range budget. We're talking about Netgear Orbi 970 series or TP-Link Deco BE85, etc.. If your home isn't huge you might be better off with a centrally located stan...
This brand is garbage. Please forward this to all Apple users.
I bought an Orbi when it came out to cover some dead spots in my house. All my streaming video stuttered. I wasted days troubleshooting this issue. I went back to my old router for a couple of years then I moved to a Netgear RAXe500 recently and finally was able to coverall the dead spots in my (310...
Router compatibility
I got rid of the frontier provided Eeros and got the Nighthawk Raxe500 and best decision I made, better wifi all around and option to choose which band I use.
Which router should I pick? Light gaming/remote work/4 people
I did a bunch of searching before I ended up with my nighthawk RAX30, my brother in law is also tech savvy and most of the complaints I read about he confirmed. My nighthawk is at my ex-wives place, I now live with my sister and brother in law and we use his nighthawk RAXE500, their house is a large...
I could use a brain to help me with MoCA (please)
My router is the netgear nighthawk raxe500 and currently my modem/ is an older/repurposed netgear nighthawk c7800 cable modem/router combo with NAT disabled. When I had spectrum previously I didn’t use their modem just my c7800 as a modem and a router. When I upgraded to fiber, I also upgraded to wi...
Hitron Reach/Better Alternative?
If you have budget just buy yourself a wireless access point. The modem/router/wifi all-in-ones just don't have the greatest range. The easiest thing to do is let your modem/router do the IP address management and routing (DHCP, etc.) but disable wifi on it. Then cable your WAP to the modem/router a...
