Nighthawk RAX50

If you have a "hefty router" than you are at least in the ~$2500-4000 spend range and most definitely didnt buy it from any brick and mortar store outside of maybe microcenter and its not a singular device, its multiple. Curious why you would invest that sort of money into a network if all you have

Nighthawk AX5400 (RAX50) router here. None of those issues and the router has performed flawlessly for 4 years now. I reboot and manually check for updates once a month and install w/o issues. So a blanket statement on Netgear routers (i.e. title) does not apply

I've used TP-Link successfully for the last 3 upgrades. I use them at my office and I've set my dad up with one as well. For best results, log in to the Telus box (the instructions are on a sticker on the side), turn off the wireless radios for the Telus box and just use the new router. Other brands

I ditched the google mesh routers because I had to reset them almost every day. I tried both gen 1 and gen 2. They'd work well for a while and then slow to a crawl. I bought a netgear wifi router and it has been zero issues ever since. This was the Nighthawk AX6.

Starlink actually publishes the spec for the Gen 3 router: claimed coverage up to 3,200 sq ft. For context, a common consumer router like the Nighthawk RAX50 is specced around 1,800 sq ft. That doesn’t mean everyone will see those numbers in their house, but it’s not accurate to say “no comparison.”

It's a TP Link VX420G2v AX5400 WiFi 6. It's iinet current release. I have two with the standard network and then 3 more with a Netgear extender and one with a TP link junk extender. The TV is via an extender using 5g, this is directly behind the TV. It's working well for years like this.

If you used sunshine then apollo will look exactly the same with a few extra features for virtual monitors. I personally went with the Asus GT-AX11000.. it is an expensive boy. If you are looking for a decent budget range I would go with Asus RT-AX82U AX5400.. It should let you create multiple VLANS
