Oakley Kitchen Sink is huge!
I really don't. If you look at most college/work/commute backpacks, they're right around 30 L. Yeah, the ubiquitous TNF Borealis and my beloved Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack are on the under side, but still. My college backpack was like 35 L and my favorite hiking pack is right at 34. Lots of ent

Is “The North Face Women's Borealis Luxe Backpack” worth it for college students?
How to answer that... I had a Surge for a little while and returned it. The Women's Borealis holds 27 L according to the website. In real terms, that's a laptop, a couple notebooks, and then when you try to add something bulky or odd-shaped you're screwed even if by volume it should fit. I really di

In need of college/travel backpack recommendations
I'm kind of an Osprey fanboy. They've added some much more conservative looking bags to their line. I love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack but one of the better descriptions of the aesthetic I've seen is "polarizing."

What backpack should I use?
I upgraded my son and I to new packs this year. Slightly over your budget, but sales and overstock can get you pretty close. I went with the Mystery Ranch 2-day assault pack for him. Pretty nice pack for a good price. It’s designed to be more like an EDC pack than an actual military/hunting pack. It

Help me pick an EDC!
Love my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It's more on the everyday side relative to your list. They're a bit expensive but they've been out a long time, should be some last-year's, eBay, etc. There's also a 3 Day Assault Pack that's a bit bigger, with a more serious hip belt. The Osprey Talon Veloc

Trying to find alternative to LTT Commuter for 16in Macbook Pro and gym stuff
How do you commute? That said, the ltt commuter is tiny! I've been using my Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack to go to work. It rocks.

[IRL] are the IRL equivalent of ingame backpacks any good?
Mystery Ranch bags are amazing and their customer service is great. They're a little pricey, but will last a lifetime. Blackjack 50 for big trips and the 2 day assault pack for everyday use.

Bag recommendations for field work
I have a Mystery Ranch 2 day assault pack. Comfortably carries a gallon of water in a bladder, all my field gear, med kit, lunch etc. it has zippered pockets on the inside, open pockets on the inside. Kinda pricy but I use it for non-work extracurriculars too. I used to have an osprey lite daypack b

Please help me find a tall backpack.
Good luck! But you're also not the first person who's wanted to carry something long with a backpack. Outdoors people have been doing it for ages, just not usually inside the pack. Do you have a case or a tube or something you can put them in and you're comfortable having people see? If not, start t

Rucking boots
After tons of research I landed on the Danner Fullbore and couldn’t be happier. For ruck I’m using a Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack and am similarly satisfied.
