Is Mullvad currently working reliably in Russia?
Friends in Russia reporting that it's not reliably working and servers like Poland and Germany don't connect. You could try getting 1 month and using Shadowsocks, but be aware that VPNs are being hard cracked down on. Either using something like V2Ray, Amnezia or something obfuscated would be best.

Which premium subscription is actually worth the money in 2026?
I used to be on Mullvad (after being on ovpn.se for years) but then recently switched to Proton during last black friday because I needed to switch to a service with port forwarding for my Plex server and it is honestly so much better (not getting IP blocked as often, for starters). I already use Pr

VPN and ESIM Megathread – April 2026
The long-term answer is really to spend an afternoon learning a little bit about networking and get an LLM to help walk you through setting up your own proxy server. That is what most tech-savvy people in China (including local Chinese) do. The go-to for the server is sing-box, because it can run a

VPN and ESIM Megathread – December 2025
I originally was with Mullvad because it's one of the VPNs which are pre-installed on the device that works. But after 1 months the VPN stopped working, it was hard to connect and Mullvad's app isn't good as it doesn't let you know or connect tp the best ones. Now the VPNs I use are good but not one

Anyone got vpn or wireguard working on the deck?
Unfortunately I've decided to give up on the VPN idea. Tried Mullvad and Proton and neither one worked out with what I was wanting to do. They were both incredibly slow and just, didn't work at all. So rip. Fuck this stupid machine I wish I had bought something else.

Letsvpn permanently shut down Chinese mainland services
Mullvad doesn't work for me, just get timeout, tail scale gets like throttled to 100kbits.. not enough for Reddit which for reason eats data, just get a esim and everything is good

Let'sVPN is suspending service to China
When checking Mullvad as an alternative turned out they’ve pulled a similar “withdrawal from China” move as well (perhaps already years ago), yet some people still recommend it here.
