You can get the updated model that is 1080p 180 hz monitors new for $120. So no, I would not say buying a used 144hz monitor for $100 is a particularly good deal. I bought an msi g255f(₹9k) and creative pebble v2 (₹2k) since the monitor doesn't come with speakers , so far a good experience for me since around this price monitors will most probably have shitty speakers anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do not get 27” FHD panels. The PPI of those will be way too low and will result in blurry text and less clarity. I personally own the MSI G255F and it is a solid panel for its price. 1080p panel, has a DP port, 180hz refresh rate and 99% sRGB. I’d personally recommend that.
