I bought one recently and I'd say so. The thing is that while more powerful devices are coming out the performance ceiling for these things is still very low. At least in comparison to consoles and even full desktop PCs when you get to the more expensive ones like the ROG Ally X and the latest model

Funny thing is the MSI Claw 7 AI+ hasn't even been released here in Australia and won't be until the 30th of July, and it's going to cost $1679 AUD, while the MSI Claw A8 doesn't release until the 1st of September and will be $1749 AUD. Surely no one is buying the MSI Claw 7 AI+ here.

MSI Claw A8 with Z2 extreme is 850$ where I'm from, so yes it's expensive.

I just got a legion go s z1extreme steam os for 629€ new in Wallapop as seeing the z2 extreme us pretty underwhelmung and prices like the msi claw a8 being 1k are just not justified imo.
