Honest opinion: Never going to buy Handheld from MSI
In all fairness to MSI this is not a MSI exclusive issue. The Lenovo Legion has the exact same issues. This seems to be just as much an AMD issue as it is a manufacturer one. Yeah the manufacturers have to put in the work to release them but that's just as much AMD's fault for making it that way. If

Is the Steam Deck OLED Worth Getting This Late in the Game?
I bought one recently and I'd say so. The thing is that while more powerful devices are coming out the performance ceiling for these things is still very low. At least in comparison to consoles and even full desktop PCs when you get to the more expensive ones like the ROG Ally X and the latest model

Steamdeck alternative for current AAA games
The Deck runs a four-core Zen 2 CPU. The Go S has two SKUs, the Z2 Go has a four-core Zen 3+ CPU whereas the Z1 Extreme variant has an eight-core Zen 4, so it's already far better than the Deck. You could also get some of the alternate Z1 Extreme devices, such as the Legion Go, ROG Ally, or the ROG

What I like:The performance is great – I’m getting about 15% more power in my games. I mainly play RPGs and pixel games. On the ROG Ally, I got around 75–100 FPS, while on the MSI Claw I’m getting 85–120 FPS on high settings. I dont play AAA games on my handhelds like God of War or so. The screen is

Can someone please list various handhelds by general power/performance and expected lifespan?
The current best chips in handhelds are exclusively in non-mainstream devices (HX395 chipsets and the like), so if you want the most future proof you’re stuck going that route. If we’re talking mainstream devices, you’d be looking at the Z2E chipset devices (Xbox Ally X, Legion Go 2, MSI Claw A8) or

How cheap does the Claw A8 actually feel? And how is the cooling performance? I'm still deciding between the Legion Go 2, Claw A8, and Claw A8 AI+.What bothers me about the Legion Go 2 are the detachable controllers, the overwhelming number of buttons, and the heavy weight. With the Claw A8, my conce

Lenovo Go Fold Concept at MWC26
This is such an outdated view it is not funny how outdated it is. Look up the amount of MSI Claw A8+ users who complain about the set overheating because of the same processor.

Leaked benchmarks look impressive for Panther Lake in handheld form, outperforming the AMD Z2 Extreme
Notice how I said most games I’ve tested. Even the article you linked says some games perform better on AMD while others favor Intel. I’ve tested roughly 500-600 games across Steam and the Xbox PC app, and some of their benchmarks just don’t line up with real-world results. For example, Black Ops 7

Mk 1 plays and looks amazing on the go 2 high settings 60 fps!. With hdr enabled! Something the switch could never do 😆
the switch 2. old do this though. i can play star wars outlaws on my switch 2 with good quality settings at a rock solid 30fps, with hdr, my msi claw a8 which is basically the same as the go 2 runs and looks like dog shit on the game.

I would love to love the gpd win 5, but…
I did the opposite. Ditched the Legion Go 2 for the Win 5. As much as I love OLED, from my experience with the MSI Claw A8 and AI+, Z2E and Lunar Lake just doesn't cut it performance wise for what I play on the go. No matter how good a screen is, it looks terrible with down res and framegen to get d
