New dad choosing a handheld Legion Go S or MSI Claw A8

Also a dad. Grabbed an MSI Claw 8 yesterday. It is fantastic. I was shocked at how good it felt and the weight isn’t bad at all. If the small price difference doesn’t bother you between the Go S and Claw A8, get the A8. Newer chip, stellar performance on low and high tdp’s, great great battery life.

I wish I could combine these devices into one

MSI Claw A8 may be what you’re looking for. 8 inch screen, 80Whr battery, Z2 extreme, good ergonomics, supports bazzite linux if you’re willing to put in an hour of work.

After trying a few of the stronger handhelds available, here are my thoughts to hopefully help others.

Tldr: tested several gaming handhelds trying to run Oblivion Remastered on the go. Key takeaways: • Steam Deck – great for older/backlog games, struggles with new AAA titles • Legion Go S Z1E – best all-rounder for most people, buy used for $500-700 • ROG Ally X – best for travelers, but the 7” scre

MSI Claw A8 Vs Claw 8 AI+ Ergonomics

I'll accept the downvotes OP because this is essentially the MSI Claw 8AI sub. The objective answer is that the A8 is more ergonomic, whatever your hand shape or size. It is both lighter and has actual grips to hold onto it.

Is upgrading my Legion Go S (Z2 Go/16GB) worth it for heavy AAA games?

Extra ram can increase FPS in some games. It mostly give stable low FPS. Z1e will give 10-15% FPS boost and IT still depends on game. Z2e show benefis on lower Wats compare to z1e. 15w is like 20w od more. As for bazzite on MSI claw A8. IT works almost Perfect(without microSD card), exept left/right

Xbox Ally X vs. MSI Claw A8

I went for the Intel Variant of the Claw (before the A8 came out) and I think I still would go for the intel, but i dont know if that is an Option for you. The Screen Size is the huge plus of the claw . The Xbox ally scores in ergonomics. But since the later are not bad with the claw too, i vote for

This thing is just too gorgeous! ❤️

Honestly, the MSI Claw A8 is really underrated. You’ve probably already read my posts about the A8, so I won’t go too deep. I don’t even know why, but I love the A8’s design way more than the 8AI+, even though I own both. The 8AI+ looks nice, but after a while it gets boring to look at. The A8, on t

MSI Claw 8 AI new BIOS version E1T52IMS.110 quick settings / game bar button double press fixed

Context am a quite a small lad so my hands are small, the 8ai depending on how i hold it and thr gsme am playing can make my hands go numb. (This is the reason i cancelled my legion go 2 order, 8ai is my limit) The a8 is lighter but its the grips at the back, i cant explain it, it just feels so good

Right thumbstick position

I have tried nearly all of them on hands, and I think none can get better than the XAX and the LGS in terms of ergonomics. If you prefer a bigger screen (i.e., more than 7 inch) than the LGS is king IMO. The right thumbstick placement is pretty great on the MSI Claw A8 but its whole ergonomics is qu
