On my surface pro 9 I managed to remove the screen, clean the cooling system, repaste and put it back together without issues, but I can't recommend doing this if you are not patient and tech-savvy.

I won the surface pro 9 a couple years ago, it’s legit. They’ll email you in the next couple days and you’ll enter some personal info to verify your identity and give your address. Then they’ll send you some tax paperwork you need to fill out and mail back in a relatively restricted amount of time.

Does the fan come on often while it runs hot? Notably since it’s new, your surface pro is likely doing windows search indexing which is pretty taxing. Makes my desktop pc also run hot. Check the task manager (ctrl+shift+escape) to see if windows indexing is using a lot of cpu. After my surface pro 9

My Surface Pro 4 was dying a slow death so last month I was looking to replace it. I was deeply disappointed that there are now virtually zero x86 products - So I wound up buying a refurbished x86 Surface Pro 9. I'm writing this post on it and so far I've been very happy with it.

🫢😔 Sorry to hear. I have a Surface Pro 2 that still works and a Surface Pro 5 that still works (though I think it’s on its way out…). Both bought brand new (SP 2 bought as soon as it launchd; SP 5 bought about 4 months after it first launched). I currently have a SP9, and thankfully no issues so far

I upgraded my wife from a Go 2 to a Go 4 a couple of years ago. It would be too small for me (keyboard), I'm on my 4th Surface Pro (SP9) and quite happy with it.

Microsoft have been releasing Windows 10 ARM builds since 2017 (and previously had Windows Phone and Windows RT, which weren't normal versions of Windows, but were still running the NT Kernel on ARM), and they themselves have sold ARM devices since 2019, Windows on ARM is far from being a beta at th

Since the SP9 Microsoft has published repair procedures and sells spare parts including batteries. It's not user replaceable, but the repair processes are significantly easier than they used to be, especially for the laptops

ngl the pro 8 still holds up for basic stuff. i used one until last year and it never felt slow for office and browsing. the battery might be tired on used units though. if you want something newer for similar money the surface pro 9 refurb gives you better processor and longer support. just make su
