My partner uses an Intel i7-based Microsoft Surface Pro 8. Her university provides Microsoft, Zoom, Canvas and Adobe, so she has the option of taking notes, sharing, collaborating etc. on any of those platforms. These clouds (and Google's, of course) are accessible on her phone as well, so in the ev

heads up that pro 3 accessories won't work on newer models since they changed the design after the pro 4. for med school the Surface Pro 7+ is still solid if you find a good deal. the Surface Pro 9 with intel is worth it if you want the newer form factor and better battery life for long days. both w

I use the Adobe suite which is far more power-intensive than Microsoft's software and it runs well on my Surface Pro 11 (13"). There are better specs on the Surface Pro than the Surface Laptop line. You get the Laptop when you want the bigger screen or the traditional form factor. For example, the r

i feel you on this. was in the same spot looking for a study tablet that actually runs windows. for your needs a surface pro 9 with 16gb ram would be plenty and you can find them refurbished under $800 now. battery lasts 8-10 hours for web and office stuff. the slim pen 2 feels natural for notes. if

i feel you on the battery thing. had a similar scare with my SP9 last year. edge helps but some units just have more drain - have you checked the battery report? run powercfg /batteryreport in cmd, it'll show design vs actual capacity. if it's way off, microsoft might still work with you even past r

As someone working in IT Hardware, I've had an unbelievable amount of Surface Pro Type Covers fail, all the Surface Pro 9/10 versions specifically. Along with the migration from Intel to Snapdragon CPU's with ARM64 instead of x86 we're no longer purchasing Surface Pro's, HP EliteBooks for everyone a

Yep. I don’t see why manufacturers can’t just set a higher refresh rate on most screen on hardware that can go along with it but then we go down the overdrive voltage and battery life issues. Take my surface pro 9. It offers a 60Hz plus 60/120HZ mode and finally a forced 120hz mode. In the two optio

Just got mine last week. Same specs but with the IPS screen! Already installed a smart card reader on my own and then took it on a cross country work trip. Pretty much met all my expectations. Battery life was a solid 11-13 hours of web browsing, Spotify streaming, and some YouTube while in flight.

if you really value battery life, you should look at the Surface Pro 11 with the Qualcomm X Plus processor (10 cores) or the Qualcomm X Elite processor (12 cores) (now called the Surface Pro 13"). Or the Surface Pro 12" which has the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus (8 Core). I love my Surface Pro 9, but

I feel as though my surface pro 9 lasts only a couple of hours. Looking to retire the device next year
