Linus Tech Tips - I Should Have Invested MORE in Framework April 21, 2026 at 11:00AM

It’s wild how much more and more I am starting to consider a MacBook for my next Laptop. Have a Surface Laptop and a few weeks ago rage formatted the drive and installed Mint. Think it was another one of those full screen Office 365 ads Windows chucks out from time to time Mints been great in terms

Surface Pro 12-inch hands-on impressions: Microsoft and Qualcomm may have a home run

I'm not terribly impressed with the new devices, mostly because they don't fit my particular needs. However, the notion that has been previously expressed that Microsoft isn't serious about Arm is further dispelled by these new devices - and the fact that the business versions will also be Arm based

Next-gen 13.8 and 15-inch Surface Laptops should be rebranded as Surface Laptop Pro.

IMO I don’t think that they should’ve called the laptops “Surface” at all. I feel like the Surface line should’ve been its own category (you know a 2 in 1 tablet/pc combo) and the laptop line should be called something else like the Microsoft book or something

Windows Surface Laptop 7 lifespan??

This SL 13 inch tear down shows the ssd being replaced. That’s in a different spot than the SL 7 13.8 inch ssd. Here is the Surface Laptop 7 video too. Note that the SL7 13.8 inch uses magnets for the bottom cover while the SL 13 inch uses clips to cut costs.

Microsoft reveals major price increases for all Surface PCs as RAM crisis continues

Yikes man. At current prices, other laptops are looking like a better deal. I really like the surface line because their devices were quite innovative, despite being far from the most powerful Specs. I feel that innovation is somewhat dying out within the surface line of PCs. The Microsoft Laptop is

How good are Microsoft Surface laptops for computer engineering students ?

My company bought 6 Surface laptops. 3 got a hair line crack on the screen. Known manufacturer defect. Microsoft replaced one laptop, when the other developed the same, it refused, claiming user damage. 3rd one got it after the warranty expired. Microsoft wanted nice slim design and compromised reli

As of today, the Xbox 360 officially turns a whole-ass 20 years old (originally released November 5th, 2005):

Microsoft was responsible for starting to charge for online multiplayer and only entered the console market because they thought that people would use the PS2 instead of Windows as a computer. They should never be forgiven for that and should have never bought ABK if the plan from the start is to go

Microsoft faces uphill climb to turn enterprise dominance into widespread AI chatbot adoption

Maybe not only OS, but consumer level products - Windows 11? Trash, bad UI, bad search engine, bad start menu (too big, without always visible all apps list), lots of unwated advertisment or copilot. Office - literally the same since 2010 for most people, just the ui got worse, being a mix of 2010,

My luck was used up for a Surface Laptop 7th Gen

So ... that's not the surface pro, as in the tablet, you traded one laptop that was collecting dust with another that has even more chances to collect dust, being the pointless incompatible ARM thing and certainly not a gaming machine, less useful in any way compared to your old machine. Sure, it's

Surface Laptop 7 13.8 - worth it?

I just bought two. One for my assistant and one for me. The track pad on my flakes out and the button clicking stops. On hers she doesn’t have this problem. Microsoft’s tech support is an abomination. So I have to return mine and buy a new one. Otherwise I love the Microsoft laptops. They are stylis
