Surface Apps are a joke

The Amazon App Store was nearly a desert for the short time it was there. And Google didn't collaborate with Microsoft on the WSA then - doubt they have an incentive to collaborate now. Though to be fair, it always advertised itself as a laptop-first device - all the ads they used to do included the

yukari and the update

The only reason I still dual-boot with Windows is for compiling mods for a game that must use MSVC - I don't think I'm quite ready to figure out that on Nobara (which I dual-boot on my main pc). Though, most of the time I do use Linux - specifically Alpine Linux, on a Surface Go 3 tablet, whenever I

Surface Go 3 in 2025

I support some people using Linux on a Surface Go 3, but I don't own one myself. The Go3 is well supported, even without a Surface Kernel, except the cameras. The attachable keyboard works well, if you use the original Microsoft keyboard, not a cheap bluetooth one. I am unsure though what to rec. as

Is KDE just bad or is it KDE Neon?

I'm daily driving neon on my (two) work laptops and on my personal tablet, The last time I had constant plasma shell crashes was about 2 months ago when there was a bug (now fixed) with externals screens disconnections. I use it for dev/devops (work thinkpad) and usual personal stuff on a surface go

Is Linux viable for a Surface Pro 7 used primarily as a drawing tablet? Concerned about driver support for pen and touchscreen

It's always "well, it depends." Support differs by device. I'm running Linux on a Surface Go 3 and the pen is fully supported, even with tilt. Krita runs great! But keep in mind, I WAS running mainline 10, then got upgraded to 11 and basically didn't use the tablet for two years because it was so sl

Surface pen tip not working but eraser does (Fix)

OMG, I've been trying to deal with this for 2yrs. Replaced battery and tip. Spent 3 hours on phone with M$ tech support who remote connected into my tablet (Surface Go 3), reinstalled Windows and no help. I asked for an RMA under warranty and they took my info then I never heard back. Went back to B

Early Access to Tsuki Tea House: Idle Journey

I gave up playing games in my iOS. I now play them on my PC/laptop/tablet combo (SurfaceGo 3) via BlueStacks App (which is less than ideal, but works for access to most Android/Google games that I want). I made the switch when Tsuki was soooo tiny on my older iPhone.

Twow on a tablet

Don't know about an android tablet, but I play TWoW on a Surface Go 3, which is a Windows tablet but you can also load a custom version of the google play store (google Mustardchef WSA) but it's not great for android games, I use it more for things like kindle & readily where the android app is bett
