Surface Pro 12” vs 13”
You shouldn't get one of these just because of the violet color. Microsoft's pictures are misleading. I have the 12" in violet and it's a very subtle almost bluish shade. I thought it was gray at first. Here is a picture with my grey Surface Go on the left and the violet Surface 12" on the right. Ta

CachyOS + COSMIC DE
Cosmic doesn't have a way (that i could find) to have an on-screen keyboard on login. That's the only deal breaker or i'd be running cosmic. Can't live without it on a tablet (Asus Z13 flow & surface go 3)

Surface Go 2 - tell me what to do?
I bought the version with a keyboard and stylus for this tablet, but it only took me a few minutes after setting it up to decide to return it. Firstly, I can't edit my spreadsheets. I store a few spreadsheets on OneDrive, which I access from my Surface and PC via LibreOffice – my usage doesn't justi

I want to get a drawing tablet with a $500 budget, lookin for recommendations
You can find a Surface Go 4 on eBay for just a bit over $500. Runs Windows 11, not Android. Doesn't work as a display drawing tablet when hooked to another machine, but there are apps that claim to address that. I'm running in the sub-$200 range, with a Lenovo Idea Pad 11 (2025). I usually use it wi

Has anyone tried PopOS 24.04 on their surface?
I use PopOS every day on my Surface Laptop 4. It's excellent. I have a backup dual boot Windows, that I use about once per month. Not so successful with my Surface Go 3 as a tablet.

surface pro 12 appreciation
Got one a 512GB one with keyboard and pen used but in mint condition for $500 (still under warranty). It's finally in a size that makes sense as tablet (my Surface go is great in term of size, but slow, with modest battery life and poor speakers, and the keyboards is cramped)

How come no one does laptop tablets like surface?
For old skool UI, yeah its meh. For modern stuff, its great. I've owned a Surface Go 4, and went with the Legion Go 2 instead. First of all, not a single regret. Imho it requires tinkering and tweaking, but Windows 11 even on an 8.8" tablet screen works great if configured well. I'd never return bac

Opinions on the Surface Pro 12-inch? (coming from a Surface Go 3 + 2017 MacBook 12-inch)
My apologies, I skimmed over the part where you addressed my exact point. With that being said though, are we looking at the same tablet? These bezels don't seem all that bad to me, especially compared to the Surface Go 3 in the OP's photo. My Go 3 looks dated with specs to match.

Follow up review on Surface Pro 12" - 48 hours later
I'm just about ready to throw my old Surface Go at the wall because of how slow it is. I need a small and light Windows tablet that can also function as a second screen to my Snapdragon ThinkPad and I might get the 12" Surface Pro for that.

Need help
There is AFAIK no current Windows tablet anywhere close to 9 inches. Surface Go is severely outdated and it was painfully weak even when launched. And anyway is a bit larger than the other "mobile OS" tablets. Of course, no OLED, and even for the very best 13" with OLED Microsoft's one is so bad peo
