Meze 105 AER would be my recommendation unless you need a closed back; I think of the Arya Stealth and 109 Pro as being almost perfectly complementary (fun and warm vs. clinical and detailed), and the 105 is like 90% of the performance of the 109 at half the price. For such a budget my suggestion would be Arya Stealth with a good DAC. I normally recommend K11, K13 R2R, K7 or DX5 II. 490 Pro while good felt like a poor choice for 400$. Even the Meze 105 AER was better. You can even do a Meze 109 Pro and a K11 (or R2R) in that budget which will be significantly
