Manual espresso grinder

Either of those will do very well with espresso. I have the X-Pro (predecessor to the XU) and I use it every day just about for light roast espresso. Coffee Chronicler says the MPP is the best hand grinder on the market for light roast espresso, however: https://coffeechronicler.com/mavo-phantox-pro

Eureka Single Dose + Lagom Casa / Timemore 078S OR Lagom P80 [$1000-2500aud]

Money may not be an issue for you, but I do soup, turbos and pour overs on my mavo phantox pro hand grinder which only cost me $250AUD. If you want a finer grind then a hand grinder won't be helpful unless you attach a motor to it, but I've personally never really enjoyed light roast espresso the mo

K6 hand grinder and OXO

Solid choice. I think most hand grinders will do fine with the OXO, so it's more of a "will this do both filter and espresso well" I think the Mavo Phantox Pro would also suit it very well, mainly for the Oxo, but good for light roasted espressos.

Advice on buying a Hand Grinder

If your budget allows, I highly recommend MAVO Phantox Pro. I think they’re about 8k dito sa PH market. Had the chance to play with it along with many enthusiast last time na umattend ako ng Taiwan International Coffee Show (2024). We did a blind testing along with its pricier competition which is Z

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

The 1Zpresso J-series is generally understood to lean toward body, away from clarity, to be espresso-oriented. It will work fine for pour-over, but not as well as some others, unless that's the profile you want. (You don't, not you.) You've been doing research, so I don't think I have much to add. I

Doug and Barb present: The Orphan Espresso SMOL Hand Coffee Grinder

I think there’s likely some confusion here. The build quality of the Smol grinder is substantially better than that of the MHW- 3 bomber R3 grinder (I’ve used and owned both). The Smol is made of stainless steel and has a unique side loading design that basically prevents burr axle misalignment prob

What grinder to save up for with Flair 58+2

Personally, I now own 3 grinders (Ode with Gen 2 burrs, J-Ultra and X-Pro) and alternate between them all on each bag of beans because they all offer a slightly different in-cup experience. My next grinder will almost 100% be a Pietro. I’m also brewing almost exclusively light roast modern espresso

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

I recently got a Mavo Phantox Pro on Amazon for $125 after seeing the review on Coffee Chronicler, and I've been very pleased with it the past week. I think at normal prices there's reason for digging into pros/cons between it, the Timemore S3, and the 1Zpresso X-Ultra, but at that price it felt lik
