Can someone explain the color theory why Mac Modesty looks like this on this person but ashy/gray on me?
The old Mac Modesty was actually more pink than the new one! I think this is the old one. And there (at least used to be) a sheer and a more pigmented one, the new pigmented one is definitely quite light. I wear ND Y1 and LE 1.5, the new satin Max Modesty looks light and a bit ashy on me too. I have

MAC lipstick swatches :)
Personally, it looks atrocious on me because it's very peach/warm. Modesty is the best nude but even then it still pulls funky colors for me. The last one I wanted to try was "Thanks, it's Mac" 😖
