Please help me find this lipstick for my wife

Mac recently reformulated their lipsticks and have discontinued some shades. I think brick-o-la or paramount could work as dupes, and I’ve found this blog post with some comparisons. It’s probably easiest to go to a MAC counter with the lipsticks and swatch similar shades side by side.

Two beautiful red shades for neutral, muted olives

Brick-o-la and Spice It Up also look great on me (muted medium warm-leaning olive). I also suggest MAC Business Casual and Ilia’s Gala. For reference, MAC crème in your coffee is my absolute favorite lipstick hands down, and warm Teddy looks great too. However, other popular MAC shades that most oli

Scully’s Makeup

Chiming in to say that I believe her eyeshadow is Mac Cork (I know you're not specifically asking about that). And I seconded the Wet N Wild Mellow Wine rec for blush. As far as lipstick, I know GA actually wore Mac Shhh a lot, which is discontinued. Here's an old (as in, decade-old) thread discussi

What's Your Statement/Signature Lipstick?

Red lipstick always seems to make me look sallow but purple and berry lipsticks make me look incredible. Not sure why. I love Revlon Iced Amethyst right now. I did recently try MAC Brick-O-La in an attempt to find a red that would read well on me, and I really like it! Not my absolute best color, bu

What are your favourite colour lip products to use in Autumn? 🍂

Ohh this is inspiring me to pull out my darker Mac lipsticks, I own almost all of these as well! Brick-o-la is one of my all-time favorites. I also have quite a few fall shades from the velvet blur line, like Sweet Cinnamon, Nutmeg Ganache and Pumpkin Spiced (and now that I look through the line, it

Color match Revlon Teak Rose lipstick?

I’m sad that Revlon Teak Rose is discontinued, now I can only buy it expensive on Ebay. But for me personally it’s always been a dupe for MAC Brick-O-La, which is another favorite lipstick of mine. I think Temptalia website even thinks so too.

Is your go-to Clinique black honey?

Yup. I already have pink pigmented lips and my coloring is somewhat muted, warm leaning neutral, and medium-high contrast. So I have a pretty narrow range where lipsticks don’t look totally clownish on me. If it helps my pink-reds are either bricks or plums: Nars mona, Mac chili, Mac brick o la, rev

Am I olive?

I am very muted olive green neutral and lean a little warm. I hate grey, orange, magenta, fusicia, anything bright vivid, icy or pastels. So nothing too warm or cool. I need colors destaured with brown, possibly a hint of grey or peach. My lipstick and blushes mostly come from soft autumn and some s

35 years old and really need help adapting my makeup application to suit my age. I feel like it is extremely unflattering. Constructive criticism and advice very welcome.

Maybe Try Thai style makeup or basic Korean style makeup for start. Just eyebrows, thin liner, mascara and mlbb lipstick and cheek stain. And take photos to judge for yourself. You can add more along the way see what you like to enhance. Maybe thicker outer eyeliner ? And so on. Feeling bold wear da
