Switched from 49" ultrawide to 55" 16:9 OLED TV
TV gang! I swapped my 32 triples for a single 55” LG C5 and I love it. Coming from triples I did lose a good bit of hFOV but the OLED colors/blacks, motion clarity, simplicity, and smaller footprint more than make up for it.

Sony Bravia 8 vs LG C5
On paper the C5 wins, hands down. The bravia 8 uses LG's older panel (same panel used in the LG B5, B4, B3..) instead of the OLED evo panel used in the C5. Obviously Sony makes up for it in pretty much every other department, but in terms of peak brightness and efficiency the LG wins by a strong mar

LG C5 vs TCL QM7K 65''
I have owned the C5 (77") and upgraded the living room to a 98" QM8k. It is definitely comparable to the C5 and rtings agrees. The LG C5 OLED and the TCL QM8K trade blows, and the best one really depends on your usage and personal preferences. Although the TCL has fantastic contrast, it's still not

Searching advice
OLEDs degrade over time. Burn is a concern only if the degradation happens unevenly - static UI elements all the time from the same game / cable channel on non-stop, etc. MiniLEDs have thousands of LEDs. If one goes out, your whole TV is dead - https://youtu.be/ot1gr-YypY4?si=SsS7Deol4Vpvitkl. That

QD-OLED S95F 77" vs C5 83" — same price, 3.1m distance. Which would you choose?
In the end, what matters the most is your own perception of things, I see that you already went in a store to compare the TVs, and that should have an impact on your decision. I have a LG C4 and I recently tried a samsung S90D, that I quickly returned to buy a LG C5 and I couldn't be happier. I don'

Help Buying TV
LG 77" C5 OLED is currently on sale for $2000. OLED will blow all of those out of the water on contrast. The better picture quality on a screen that is 8 inches smaller is the way to go.

LG C5 77” vs Samsung S90F 77”. Which is better?
For gaming, the S90F, for movies and gaming with DV, C5. VS The LG C5 OLED and the Samsung S90F OLED trade blows. They're about equally as bright in most HDR content, although the S90F is far brighter in Game Mode. In SDR, however, the C5 is way brighter. The S90F does handle direct reflections bett

75 " Sony Bravia 9 or 77" LG C5
The Sony Bravia 9 is a fantastic MiniLED, but OLEDs always will be my favorite display. The contrast, black levels, and response time is just... wow. I have the Sony A95K and A95L and game very heavily on them. I was tempted to go with the Bravia 9 when looking for a TV awhile back, but I just could

Geek squad or asurion for bravia 9?
"I keep telling my buddies once you go with an OLED or QD-OLED you won't go back to led tvs. It's pure bliss at night time and these oleds have advanced so much with getting brighter they can really be put in alot of rooms." That's what pushed me to OLED. I always loved OLEDs but was worried about t

Size or Quailty?
Just upgraded to an OLED thanks to an extended warranty I had on my previous TV. The tech support that came out said that he's not a fan of OLED, partly because of how often he services OLEDs for issues like burn-in and dead pixels. I'm able to get a 5 year extended warranty so hopefully I don't hav
