I like the idea of Flex Connect, but not at the $3k price point that's being guessed at (per LG Sound Suite w/Dolby Atmos Flex Connect (Overview)). For that money, just go w/ an AVR system. I'll probably also end up w/ a Q990F, unless there's something extremely compelling about the Q990H, which doe

i have the arc ultra with sub mini and don’t get me wrong it sounds good but for my personal listening preference i find myself having to constantly tweak the EQ and other sound settings in the sonos app a lot depending on what i’m watching and at louder volumes the sound begins to start sounding sl

Its coming in at the below. Considering LG loves a sale this doesn't seem like a terrible starting point. If you have a 2025 or 2026 premium LG OLED then you don't need the sound bar either if thats your thing and TV can be center channel. $3,200 for full system (1xBar, 4xM7 Surrounds + SW)$2,900 fo

Personally have the Arc Ultra, dual subs, and Era 300’s as rears and love it. The DTS:X thing is moot as this also doesn’t support it, and neither do LG TV’s. Dolby FlexConnect is a new standard that will also be on other products, who knows Sonos could also use in the future. LG is just the launch

Take a look at the new H7 / M7 / M5 / W7 LG Sound Suite. You can get stand alone speakers for left and right front and rear to help fill the space more than just a sound bar. They also are supposed to be adaptable in terms of ad hoc placement within your space. If you have an LG TV (compatible one)

I think you're missing the point on what flex connect does. It's the latest technology from Dolby. The whole idea is that it's more flexible because you can position the speakers anywhere in the room and it will adjust the sound coming out of them to suit that set up. It is still meant to be used wi

I also got mine a couple of weeks ago, got the H7 with four M7 speakers. Coming from a competitor, I ran into quite strange issues. When setting up, I was asked to have my phone on a 2.4 or 5 ghz channel. My router was set to one network with band steering and MLO, so I had to go into my router's se

You need to either have a LG TV that supports Flex connect or the H7 soundbar to connect multiple speakers. Also I believe that the H7 soundbar supports more number of speakers than the TV so if you’re interested in the soundbar that would be the move.

Something to keep in mind is Whathifi and Tech Radar from looks of it only tested with two M7s which I suspect is why they rated vocal clarity lower. I would hypothesize that vocal quality with two discrete left and right m5 or m7s next to the H7 will increase vocal clarity. Presumably the H7 can fo

I’ve reached out to both LG and TCL, which have the only FlexConnect devices to market, neither support any flavour of DTS (while their previous soundbars did). It seems FlexConext devices will be Dolby centric, so if this tech takes off it’s going to be harder and harder to get soundbars with DTS.
