Thanks! My laptop is the Fujitsu FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3 which just came out this year. Its advertised as 634 grams but mine is 621 grams for whatever reason. It's so featherweight, just incredible how light they made it. I used the 14" LG Gram, which is the lightest laptop you can get in the U.S.,

I am not, but my mom is, and she would fill up 256GB with stuff in a week. 8GB would most likely be fine for her though, fair. That said I dont think 600$ every 3 years is a good deal, my wife has an LG Gram that was about 1000$, and its about 5-6 years old already, and at current rate it will stay

Skip the Zenbook Snapdragon for now. You are right to be skeptical. App compatibility is still a mess and it is not worth the headache. Between the Vivobook S14 and LG Gram both are good but different. LG Gram is lighter, better battery, feels premium. But it costs more. Vivobook S14 gives you more

if you want to stick with ASUS, their slightly more premium Zenbook lineup is their slimmer option at 2.8lbs (1.27kg). their Zenbook S lineup is a sub-family that are even thinner slightly, but they are premium laptops for premium pricepoints over $1200. MacBook Airs made after 2020 are 2.8lbs (1.27

I have a 17" laptop and it's perfect. It's an LG Gram though so it weighs about the same as an average 13" laptop. I've used this brand for years and never had an issue. I'd highly recommend it, but it's not good for gaming if you're into that. It's also quite expensive, I guess because of the mater

A potato is enough. Windows always works, Macs can cause problems sometimes. You’re going to use a lot of MATLAB. Some multisim which is an ancient circuit simulation tool, and KiCAD or similar. None of these things are demanding. I have a LG gram from Costco and I love it. 17” screen and weighs lik

Honestly something like that doesn't really exist in the ThinkPad lineup. But if you are willing to look elsewhere, I am a fan of the LG gram lineup of laptops. They have a 16 and 17 inch model that is lighter than most 14 inch machines. On first impressions they may not have the solid feel of Think

You can get Gram 17 with just 1TB and 5050 for $1900 right now on sale: https://www.lg.com/us/laptops/lg-17z90tr-e.adb8u3-gram-laptop The only difference is it has 1tb drive instead of 2x 1tb drives. Not sure why it's so cheap, even when it's not on sale for $2400

Yeah I used to feel the same but now with 3 kids I mostly lost interest. I refurbish laptops to make money on the side. But they get cheap so fast and thanks to facebook market it's flooded with fast and cheap laptops. My personal favorite is a LG gram 17 inch 2020. So I'm keeping that one. I also h

Hi, I use an LG Gram with LCD display and that version of their machines has DC backlighting. It's been great on my eyes. They offer a version with Nvidia GPU. I got mine new in box off of eBay & saved some cash, although you could probably find a good deal elsewhere too. Note: I'm not sure how the
