infact LG is the one that sells OLED panels to Sony. They don't make their own. Also LG OLEDs are better than SOny, especially in gaming. So blindly go for G5, it has crazy brightness and arguably the greatest OLED ever

i've looked into both and for movies the Bravia 8 really shines with Sony's motion handling and upscaling. the G5 is brighter but the Sony handles film content more naturally. check Sony BRAVIA 8 77 at Best Buy or Amazon - they sometimes run flash sales even when Sony doesn't officially discount. al
