I just upgraded from playing it on Xbox one on a 4k tv (which apparently they never updated console version and is capped at 60 fps) to playing it on a new gaming laptop with a 5080 everything ultra on my new 39” LG 5k2k ultrawide OLED.My jaw hit the floor. As you said, the lighting at night in the

Can confirm, plugged in a lg 45gx950a-b to a fresh windows 11 install and it immediately decided it has to install the LG app installer all on its own. Pesky app on an otherwise amazing monitor.

it is quite disappointing, DSC will be required (nvidia 40 cards seem to have some hiccups with DSC) is it cost-cutting or i wonder if DP 2.1 was just not mature enough when they started developing this screen? 2560x1440p at 500hz seems to require some serious bandwidth, without DSC it would require

I went from a 43" 4K TV to a 45" LG ultrawide, also 800R. Both mounted at 60cm from my eyballs. It's not even a contest, the 45" ultrawide is way more immersive. Fov is much higher as well because of the curve. Get the ultrawide.

All you lacking there is a proper monitor like the lg 45" ultrawide to really increase the immersion😅. Sick setup tho 👌 Dont have anything like that, just a secretlab desk and chair with some ultrawide monitors and play with my controller.

I was literally about to pull the trigger on a 45" LG 5k2k OLED for a new gaming pc when I saw this. Absolutely not. After reviewing this and the state of what's going on I'm just not buying anything. Thinking about buying a cheap motorcycle instead now. I have money to spend on hobbies and I don't

Specs show 5K2K (5120 x 2160) Huh? They went "ultrawide" by chopping 720 vertical pixels off a 5k display? (by my math that's removing FOUR 720p tvs worth of pixels) The 2014 5k iMac was (5120 × 2880). That's the same as the current Studio Display. Your dual Pro Display XDRs were 2x 6K (6016 × 3384)
