long term university laptop

Dude, you are comparing a yoga 7, which is a low end convertible with literally the most premium non convertible laptop from lenovo (yoga pro 9i). Thats no even fair. Some reviews put the yoga pro 9i the best "all around" laptop nowadays

The new Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition looks really good, are we getting a similar Thinkpad?

I have failed the cult. I am officially handing in my TrackPoint card. I looked at the T1g Gen 8 and then I looked at the Yoga Pro 9i Aura. They have the same DNA: 64GB RAM, RTX 5070, and that identical 3.2K OLED panel. But then I saw the price tag on the T1g was basically a down payment on a house.

What kind of laptop should I go for?

The problems with the P16s are they generarlly do not have a dedicated GPU, OP would be better off looking for a content creation laptop such as the Slim Pro 16 series with a dedicated GPU. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lenovo-yoga-pro-9i-aura-edition-16-3-2k-oled-laptop-intel-core-ultra-9-285h-20

XPS alternative with numpad?

Lenovo has some great options like the IdeaPad Pro 5 or 5i, or the Yoga Pro 9i.

16-inch laptop with high quality screen and build quality?

I recently bought a 16" Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Intel Aura Edition, and holy hell is it a nice laptop. I got the 32GB of RAM with the 3.2k 120hz OLED and everything about it is insane. Great performance, incredible screen, great build quality, best laptop keyboard I've ever used, massive trackpad, above

Gaming on YogaPro9i 5070

Appreciate your opinions. I have the Yoga Pro 9i Gen 10 with 5070 and Tandem OLED. I prefer gaming on it vs the Asus Zeph G16 with a 5080 bc the Yoga Pro 9i is quieter and cooler and the games look so much better on the tandem oled vs regular oled panels even if the details are lower to accommodate

Yoga Pro 9i for a mechanical engineering student

I just bought a Yoga Pro 9i Aura 16" with the tandem OLED screen, 32gb ram, and the 5060 dedicated video card. US retailer Best Buy had it on a flash sale last week for $1699 USD. Coming out of a 5 year old HP Spectre x360 with a 10th core 7 and 16 mb of ram, this Yoga feels like a beast and is very

Short review and help with two issues

I have a 5070 version. Haven’t experienced #1 at all. As for the screen it is the best I have ever seen on any display period. And I also have high end mini led monitors and an apple Studio Display and many other laptop oleds. If you think it is washed out there is something wrong with your unit or

As a everyday user What can you actually do with a macbook over windows?

So I have used Windows and Apple, for both personal and professional use. If your looking for good hardware with very little thought needed, go Apple. Its really top tier. But for me, when it came to buying another laptop, I went Windows (Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i). I speced it out and got all the below at
