I have failed the cult. I am officially handing in my TrackPoint card. I looked at the T1g Gen 8 and then I looked at the Yoga Pro 9i Aura. They have the same DNA: 64GB RAM, RTX 5070, and that identical 3.2K OLED panel. But then I saw the price tag on the T1g was basically a down payment on a house.

It's no different than installing Linux on any other device! Experience wise there's a couple gotchas as is typical of newer hardware. HDR doesn't work out the box but the fix is almost out and there's workarounds [1] [2]. I had a weird issue where display blanks for a second after waking from suspe

Buraz, biću opširan. Postavio sam pre nekoliko dana pitanje za savet oko kupovine novog laptopa i dao sam primere šta mi treba i šta sam gledao. Tu su se javljali svakakvi likovi da bi mi rekli da mi se ne isplati, da to ima ovde, onde i negde u 3 lepe jeftinije. Da idem u EU, da idem svuda, samo ni

I got the yoga 9i 2in1 with intel ultra 7 258v process because Lenovo decided not to deliver me the yoga 7. I would have to say the yoga 9 is so premium I love everything about it the hinges seem sturdy and the touch screen is really smooth and responsive. The processor is incredible especially the

I recently bought Lenovo Yoga 9i Aura Edition with Lunar Lake. Everything works well with Fedora (and any recent 6.16+ kernels). It is thin, light, totally quite, performant, and battery life is superb easily 11+ hours. I would recommend this. The bonus is iGPU is great and you can play games on it.

There are some absolutely beautiful laptops that were severely hamstrung by the 8GB VRAM limitation. Legion 7i, the Tandem OLED Yoga Pro 9i, the TUF A18 which is very nice lower-er priced 18 inch. They’ll all be way more viable now

I posted my experience on my experience on the 9i on this sub. Details available to wander through along with some troubleshooting, particularly re the battery life. In summary, the default, out of the box battery life was distinctly sub par. In the end, a complete wipe of Windows followed by a clou

You shouldn’t be worried about the chassis at all, at best the video memory limitation but besides that the rest of the laptop is extremely good. (Ps lowkey I’m trying to major mechanical too and if they had the same specs but for the yoga book 9i and heck with a 5070ti, THATD BE SOOOO SICK RIGHT?😭😂

Good equipment but setup is questionable... CPU is not an issue as I am using an Intel Core Ultra 258V in my Lenovo Yoga 9I 2-in-1 Aura Edition. You need an external monitor to really get good usage out of an eGPU. TB4 bandwidth is not good enough for bi-directional video flow. Also consider that TB
