The yoga pro 9i will be a better "all around" laptop, more premium feeling and probably will last longer. The Asus will be faster, if you care about that. Depends on what you value more.

I would recommend something to take virtual notes with. An Ipad/tablet and a laptop was also expensive for me, so I use a 2-in-1 laptop, where the screen can flip around to become a tablet. A high quality stylus was included with the purchase. It works great, I can type fast using the keyboard, but

Depends on your use case, if you need dedicated GPU, couple of the following won't apply. Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i or slim 9i. I have the Yoga 9i one and when I updated the kernel it stopped booting as well. When I dug through the logs I saw some issues about GDM being unable to load. Let's raise awareness about this issue.

Dude, you are comparing a yoga 7, which is a low end convertible with literally the most premium non convertible laptop from lenovo (yoga pro 9i). Thats no even fair. Some reviews put the yoga pro 9i the best "all around" laptop nowadays
